This standard specifies the principle, test steps and result calculation method for determination of acetone soluble matter in acid-resistant phenolic plastics. This standard is applicable to the determination of acetone soluble matter in unripened acid-resistant phenolic plastics (soft boards). 2 Principle
Heat and extract the acetone soluble matter in the quantitative fine granular sample, dry the residue and weigh it, and calculate the acetone soluble matter. 3 Reagents
Acetone: analytical grade.
4.1 Analytical balance: accurate to 0.001
4.2 Extractor: Conical flask with ground-mouth condenser and siphon cup, as shown in the figure (filter paper can be used instead of single-layer extraction tube) Frosted here

Sample preparation
Cut the sample into 1~2mm particles
6: Test steps
6.1 Test two samples at the same time,
6.2 Place the filter paper in the weighing bottle, bake it in an oven at 100~105℃ for 2h, take it out and put it in the dryer to cool to room temperature, cover the weighing bottle and weigh it (accurate to 0.001g).6.3 Weigh 1~2g of sample (accurate to 0.001g), put it in the filter paper, and tie it tightly with thread to make a sample bag. 6.4 Place the sample bag in the siphon cup of the extractor, and tightly assemble the siphon cup of the condenser and the flask with 50 mL of acetone added as shown in the figure. 6.5 Heat it in a water bath, adjust the heating temperature, and control the siphon speed to 25-30 times per hour. Extract continuously for 6 hours, take out the sample bag, remove the tie wire, place it in the weighing bottle, and bake it in a 100-105℃ oven to constant weight. Take the sample and put it in a desiccator and cool it to room temperature, then weigh it (accurate to 0.001g). Calculate the acetone soluble content (in terms of resin%) according to formula (1): Acetone soluble matter Wherein: m - mass of sample, g; - mass of residue after extraction, g; d - percentage of resin in sample, % (1) The arithmetic mean of the values ​​obtained from the two tests is taken as the acetone soluble content of the tested sample. The difference between the two values ​​should not exceed 2.0% (absolute value), otherwise repeat the test.
