Introduction to standards:

This test method is applicable to checking the continuity of metal coating of wire and cable conductors. This test method is equivalent to GB 4909.9-1985 "Test method for bare wires - Continuity test of coating - Sodium polysulfide method", but no matter which method is used, it shall be based on the requirements of the finished wire and cable standards for the metal coating of conductors. Some standard content:

National Standard of the People's Republic of China
Test methods for bare wires
Test for continuity of coating Ammonium persulphate solution methodUDC 621.315-14
GB4909.10-85
The provisions of this standard are consistent with the provisions of Annex H of the international standard IEC92-3 (1980) and JISC3002 (1976). 1 Scope of application
1.1 This test method is applicable to checking the continuity of the metal coating of the conductor of wires and cables. 1.2 This test method is equivalent to GB4909.9-85 "Test methods for bare wires - Test for continuity of coating - Sodium polysulfide method", but no matter which method is used, it shall be based on the requirements of the finished wire and cable standards for the metal coating of the conductor. 2 Test equipment
2.1 Glass measuring cylinder 100ml
2.2 Reagents
2.2.1 Ammonium persulfate, chemically pure.
2.2.2 Anhydrous copper sulfate, chemically pure.
2.2.3 Benzene or ether.
8 Sample preparation
3.1 SamplingwwW.bzxz.Net
3.1.1 The sample in the delivery state consists of 8 product packaging units (rings or discs). Cut 1 sample from each sample and prepare 1 test piece for each sample.
3.1.2 The sample of the finished wire and cable is a cable with a length of about 300mm. Strip off the outer sheath of the conductor to expose the conductor. When stripping off the outer sheath, avoid damaging the conductor coating. Take 2 samples from the outer layer of each conductor and prepare 2 test pieces for each sample. 3.1.3 The total length of each sample is calculated as L=300/dm. d is the nominal diameter of the sample. If the depth of the test solution in the glass measuring cylinder is less than L=300/dmm, the test piece should be cut into several sections for test treatment. 3.1.4 Both ends of the test piece should be sealed with wax so that the conductor is not exposed. The two ends of the wax seal should not be included in the measured length L=300/dmm.
Test steps
4.1 Preparation of ammonium persulfate test solution
4.1.1 Dissolve 10g of chemically pure ammonium persulfate in 500ml of distilled water, add 75ml of chemically pure ammonia water (specific gravity 0.90), and then dilute to 1000ml with distilled water. The temperature of the prepared test solution should not be higher than 35℃. 4.1.2 The persulfate test solution should be prepared before the first test. Issued by the National Bureau of Standards on January 31, 1985
Implemented on December 1, 1985
Table 2 Preparation of colorimetric standard solution
GB 4909.10—85
Dissolve 200g of chemically pure anhydrous copper sulfate in 500ml of distilled water, add 75ml of chemically pure ammonia (specific gravity 0.90), and dilute to 1000ml with distilled water.
4.8 Fill a 100ml glass measuring cylinder with the newly prepared ammonium persulfate test solution, each portion is 100ml, and the temperature of the solution during the test is 18±3℃.
4.1 Fill another 100ml glass measuring cylinder with a colorimetric standard solution with a liquid level equal to that of the test solution. 4.5 Test treatment
Immerse the sample in the test solution for 15mm and then remove it. 4.6 Inspection
Along the depth direction of the drum, use normal visual observation to compare the colors of the solutions in the two measuring cylinders. 5 Test results and calculations
5.1 The color of the test solution immersed in the sample should not be darker than the color of the colorimetric standard solution. 5.2 If all 8 samples are qualified, the coating continuity of the batch of products is judged to be qualified. If 3 or more samples are unqualified, the batch of products should be checked piece by piece. If the number of unqualified samples is 2 or less, 8 samples should be randomly selected from the remaining packaging units of the batch for retesting. If the second test is still unqualified, they should be checked piece by piece. 5.3 The four test pieces of the finished cable conductor must comply with the provisions of Article 5.1.
