This standard adopts ISO2549:1972 "Determination of the length of tuft strands on the ground structure of hand-knotted carpets" in a non-equivalent manner. This test content is included in the inspection of hand-knotted carpets in my country. In order to get closer to international standards, combined with the structural characteristics of hand-knotted carpets in my country, ISO2549 is adopted in a non-equivalent manner. 4 Principle

7 Inspection procedure

7.1 Select the test area on the carpet surface according to the provisions of Chapter 3 of QB1086-91, and measure each area once. R10
7.2 Insert the gauge between two vertical rows of piles, make the gauge perpendicular to the carpet base and stably contact, and measure the pile length. Accurate to 0.5mm, if the measured size is less than 0.5mm, it will be discarded. 7.3 If the carpet contains piles of different lengths due to its process requirements, measure them separately. 7.4 If it is found that the pile length outside the test area has obvious deviation, it should also be measured. If the deviation exceeds the deviation of the test area, the measurement data is valid.
8 Calculation and expression of results
8.1 Calculate different pile lengths separately.
8.2 There are two methods for calculating deviation, A and B.
8.2.1A method:
