This standard is applicable to segmented barges navigating in the direct transport inmain-branch rontes of the middle-downstream of the chwngjinngand waterway network and the sub-class waterways of the waterway network connected with them in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. 2 Definitions This standard adopts the following definitions Waterway network The inland navigable waterways including the Yangtze River, Pearl River, Qiantang River, Huai River, Yellow River, Haihe River and other river systems (including the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal) connected by the Beijing-Ji, Xiang-Guang, Gan-Yue, Zheng-Zhun canals. 3 General requirements 3.1 Vessel tonnage: 1 000 t. 3.2 Principal dimensions of vessel: overall length 67.5 m, moulded breadth 10.8 m, draft 2.0~2.4 m. 4 Model composition The model consists of four parts, indicates the tonnage of the section "节" the first letter of the Chinese pinyin, indicates "sectioned barge"\|"网" the first letter of the Chinese pinyin, indicates "water transport network"\|"长" one letter of the Chinese pinyin, indicates \Yangtze River\Approved by the State Technical Supervision Bureau on June 17, 1996 Implementation on January 1, 1997 W.5 Marking GB/T 2884.3-1996 5 1 All barges are equipped with a signboard including the following contents: a) ship model, factory serial number, standard number; b) overall length, waterline length, double width, molded operation, design draft, full-scale drainage pan; d) manufacturer's name: d) year and month of construction. 52 The sign is rectangular in shape, 330mm long and 200mm wide, and is made of metal material (steel, aluminum or other).
