National Standard of the People's Republic of China Health standard for dibutyltin dilaurate in the air of workplace 1 Subject content and scope of application GB16199—1996 This standard specifies the maximum allowable concentration of dibutyltin dilaurate in the air of workplace and its monitoring and inspection methods. This standard is applicable to all types of enterprises that produce and use dibutyltin dilaurate. 2 Hygiene requirements The maximum allowable concentration of dibutyltin dilaurate in the air of workplace is 0.2mg/m (skin). 3 Monitoring and inspection methods The monitoring and inspection methods of this standard adopt the disulfide colorimetric method (see Appendix A). 4 Supervision and implementation Health administrative departments at all levels are responsible for supervising the implementation of this standard. Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on April 3, 1996 and implemented on September 1, 1996 A1 Principle GB161991996 Appendix A Disulfide colorimetric method (Supplement) Dibutyltin dilaurate can directly react with disulfide in boric acid buffer at pH 8.4 to form a red complex, which has an absorption peak at 500nm and can be quantitatively measured by colorimetry. A2 Apparatus A2.1 Multi-hole glass plate absorption tube. A2.2 Stoppered colorimetric tube, 15mL. A2.3 Individual sampler. A2.4 Spectrophotometer. A3 Reagents A3.1 Disulfide chloroform solution with a transmittance of 60%. A3.2 pH 8.4 boric acid buffer: Dissolve 19g sodium tetraborate (NazB,O,·10H,O), 2.5g sodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate, and 12g boric acid in distilled water and dilute to 1000ml. A3.3 Chloroform. A3.4 Dibutyltin dilaurate standard solution, 1mL contains 20ug of the compound. A4 Sampling Take a porous glass plate absorption tube containing 2ml pH 8.4 boric acid buffer, connect it to the sampler and extract 20 air at a flow rate of 0.5I/min. A5 Analysis steps A5.1 Drawing of standard curve Take 6 15mL colorimetric tubes, number them, and prepare standard tubes according to Table A1: Table A1 Contains. Monobutyltin laurate, μg Borate buffer at pH 8.4, mL Butyltin dilaurate standard solution, mL Chloroform, ml. 60% transmittance dithiol solution, mL Shake vigorously for 50 times and let stand for 20 minutes, remove the upper buffer, adjust the zero point of 1cm colorimetric cup at 500nm with chloroform, and perform colorimetric determination. A5.2 Sample analysis Move all the buffer in the absorption tube into a 15mlL colorimetric tube, rinse the absorption tube twice with 3mL of borate buffer at pH 8.4, combine the rinse solution in the colorimetric tube and make it up to 5mL, add 5mL of chloroform, and the rest of the steps are the same as the standard tube. A6 Calculation Wherein X-- Concentration of dibutyltin dilaurate in the air, mg/m; C-content of dibutyltin dilaurate obtained from the standard curve, μg; V. ——Sampling volume under standard conditions, L. A7 Precautions A7.1 Both the disulfide solution and the dibutyltin dilaurate standard solution use chloroform as solvent and should be stored at low temperature (4°C) and away from light. A7.260% transmittance disulfide solution should be temporarily prepared before use and its transmittance should be calibrated. A7.3 Each time the reagent is replaced, the standard curve should be redrawn. (A1) A7.4 If the concentration of dibutyltin dilaurate in the air is too high or too low, the sampling time can be appropriately adjusted to make the measurement result within the linear range of the standard curve. bzxz.net A7.5 When the sampling volume is 20L, the detection limit of this method is 0.05mg/m.
