1.1 This standard applies to all occasions where horsepower is converted into kilowatt (kW) and kilowatt is converted into horsepower. The conversion tables of this standard are limited to general conversions. The converted figures in the conversion tables are rounded to five significant figures in accordance with the provisions of GB1.1-81, and the figures below 1 are rounded to four decimal places. If necessary, the calculation and rounding are carried out according to the conversion factors given in 1.2. The rounding rules are in accordance with the provisions of GB1.1-81 (see Appendix A of GB4116-83). 1.2 Conversion factor:
