This standard is based on the needs of enterprises to implement computer-aided design (CAD), and refers to the provisions of GB/T17825.8-1999 "CAD file management standardization review". It is a revision of JB/T5054.7-1991 "Product drawings and design documents standardization review". The main changes are as follows:
1. Added the provisions that CAD software and databases must be subject to standardization review. 2. Added the standardized review procedures and review methods for CAD electronic files. 3. Added the provision that "drawings and design documents that have not been reviewed by standardization shall not be stored in the library or transferred to the next process". Appendix A of this standard is a reminder appendix.
This standard replaces JB/T5054.7-1991 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Technical Product Documents. The units that started this standard: Beijing Heavy Electric Motor Factory, China Machinery Industry Standardization Technical Association, Beijing Switch Factory, Mechanical Science Research Institute.
The main drafters of this standard: Gu Qingzhen, Yu Xiancuo, Lu Guoping, Yang Dongbai. This standard was first issued in 1984 as JB/Z223-84, and was first revised to JB/T5054.7--91 in 1991. This is the second revision.

This standard specifies the contents and requirements of standardization examination of drawings and design documents of mechanical industry products, including CAD drawings and design documents (hereinafter referred to as drawings and documents or CAD files). This standard applies to the standardization examination of drawings and design documents of mechanical industry products. The standardization examination of other drawings and technical documents can be implemented by reference.

This standard adopts the definitions in JB/T5054.1. 4 Basic requirements
4.1 The basis for standardization review is the relevant technical regulations and standards at all levels. After standardization review, the following should be achieved: a) The designed products comply with the relevant national technical regulations; b) The designed products comply with the national standards, industry standards and enterprise standards; c) Give priority to the use of standardized design and structural plans, and use standard parts, general parts and borrowed parts to the maximum extent to improve the inheritance of design and the standardization of products; d) Reasonably select the basic standards and raw material standards such as the priority number system and the structural elements of parts; e) Product drawings and design documents comply with the relevant standards and achieve correctness, completeness, clarity and unity. 4.2 The purchased or developed CAD software should be subject to standardization review to check whether it complies with the provisions of national standards and relevant standards. 4.3 Standardization review is carried out at the preliminary design, technical design and drawing design stages of the product under the premise that the design and review personnel consciously implement various standards. 5 Scope and content of standardization review

Whether the standards in the standard design library, engineering database, graphic symbol library, basic standard library, standard parts library, and material library comply with the current standards at the time of development 6.1 Standardization review procedures for paper drawings and documents 6.1.1 After the product drawings and design documents are drawn, and after design, (proofreading) review, and process signature, they are submitted for standardization review. 6.1.2 Standardization review should be conducted on the original drawing, and the "Standardization Review Record Sheet" should be filled in, see Appendix A (Suggested Appendix), and then the drawings, design documents and "Standardization Review Record Sheet" should be returned to the design department. 6.1.3 After the designer makes modifications based on the "Standardization Review Record Sheet", it should be sent to the standardization reviewer for review and signature. 6.1.4 On the base map, after the relevant personnel sign in the prescribed order, it should be sent to the standardization reviewer for signature. 6.2 Standardization review procedure for CAD electronic files According to the standardization review process for CAD electronic files in the CAD management software, after the standardization review, the "Standardization Review Record Sheet" should be passed back to the design, and after the design is modified, it should be passed and signed according to the process. 6.3 Methods of standardization review
6.3.1 Standardization review of paper drawings and documents. During the review process, the standardization reviewer should mark or indicate the parts that need to be modified, and briefly fill in the review opinions on the "Standardization Review Record Sheet". 6.3.2 For the standardization review of floppy (magnetic) disk CAD files, the "Standardization Review Record Sheet" must be filled in carefully, and the parts with problems must be clearly marked.
6.3.3 Standardization review of disk (hard disk) CAD electronic files should be reviewed by standardization review personnel in the standardization review layer set in the CAD management software, and mark the review layer and fill in the "standardization review record sheet". 7 Duties and authority of standardization review personnel
7.1 Qualifications of standardization review personnel
Standardization review personnel must conduct standardization review of product drawings and design documents in accordance with the comprehensive requirements of product standardization and the provisions of relevant documents. Standardization review personnel are responsible for strictly supervising whether designers correctly implement the standards, making suggestions and requiring modifications.
7.2 Authority of standardization review personnel
7.2.1 Standardization review personnel have the right to refuse review in the following cases: a) The drawings and design documents of products or components are not complete; b) The responsibility signature is incomplete; c) The purchased or developed CAD software has not been reviewed for standardization; d) The preparation is rough and the handwriting is rough.
7.2.2 Have the right to ask the designer to explain the problems found during the review or make necessary modifications and supplements. 7.2.3 Standardization reviewers have the right to refuse to sign drawings and design documents that violate relevant standards and insist on not being modified. 8 Others
8.1 When there is a disagreement between the standardization reviewer and the designer, the competent leader shall negotiate to resolve it. If it still cannot be resolved, the technical person in charge of the enterprise shall be requested to make a decision.
8.2 The complete record of the standardization review of drawings and design documents is one of the bases for evaluating the design quality. 8.3 Drawings and design documents that have not been reviewed and signed by the standardization shall not be stored in the library or transferred to the next process.
