This part of GB/T 20000 gives the general expressions and common vocabulary of the English translations of national standards and national standardization guidance technical documents (hereinafter collectively referred to as national standards). This part is applicable to the translation of English translations of national standards, and can be used as a reference for the translation of other standards.

For all references with dates, only the versions with the month date apply to the following documents in this article.
