This standard applies to the welding cracking test of welding rods such as GB981—76 "Low carbon steel and low alloy high strength steel welding rods" and GB983-76 "Stainless steel welding rods".
1 Preparation of test piece
1.1 The shape and size of the test piece are shown in Figure 1. 200
Figure 1 Shape and size of the test piece
1.2 The groove shape of the test piece is I-type, which is machined by mechanical cutting. 1.3 During the test, in order to avoid the influence of oxide scale on the welded part, the surface near the butt groove of the specimen shall be polished or machined. 2 The test device consists of a C-shaped restraint frame, a toothed base and fastening bolts. Figure 2 Schematic diagram of the test device
.1 Install the specimen in the test device shown in Figure 2, and install plugs of corresponding sizes at both ends of the specimen groove according to the test requirements to ensure the groove gap. The groove gap can vary in the range of 0 to 6 mm. 3.2 Tighten the horizontal bolts until they support the specimen. The vertical bolts should be tightened with a force wrench with a torque of 1200kgf·cm.
3.3 As shown in Figure 3, weld 4 test welds of about 40 mm in length in sequence, with a weld spacing of about 10 mm. In principle, the welding crater is not filled.
3.4 Take the test piece out of the test device about 10 minutes after welding. 3.5 After the test piece cools down, bend the weld of the test piece axially, observe whether there are cracks on the cross section and measure the crack length. Test weld

4 Calculation method
, according to Figure 4, the crack rate is calculated by the following formula for the crack length measured on the cross section of the four welds. 98
