GB 4580--84
This standard applies to unlined fire hoses (hereinafter referred to as "hose") woven with cotton, linen and ramie fibers as raw materials. The hoses are used for fire water supply or conveying other liquid fire extinguishing agents. 1 Varieties and specifications
1.1·The hoses specified in this standard are divided into two varieties according to their working pressure: 8 kgf/cm2 (cotton hose) and 10 kgf/cm2 (flax and ramie hose).
1.2The hoses specified in this standard are divided into four specifications according to the nominal size of their inner diameter: 40, 50, 65 and 80 mm. 1.3Special varieties and specifications of hoses can be agreed upon by both the supplier and the buyer. 2 Technical requirements
2.1 The weaving of the hose must be uniform, tight, and the surface must be clean; there must be no double warp skipping, double warp breakage, weft skipping, weft breakage, or exposed weft, and there must be no scratches or damage, and there must be no impurities or contamination. 2.2 The inner diameter of the hose and its limit deviation shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. Table 1 Inner diameter of hose
2.3 The standard length of various hoses is 20*0.2 meters. The hose is allowed to leave the factory in multiples of 20 meters, and its total length should be increased by 0.5-1%.
2.4 The unit length weight of various hoses shall not exceed the provisions of Table 2. Issued by the National Bureau of Standards on July 18, 1984, and implemented on May 1, 1985. GB 4580--84. The weight of hose per unit length is gram/meter. Cotton hose. Linen and ramie hose. The seepage disc of various hoses shall not exceed the provisions of Table 3, and only one hole is allowed in three samples. 2.5. The bursting pressure of the hose shall not be lower than that of the hose specified in Table 4. 2.6

Test method
3.1 Sample
GB 4580—84
3.1.1 The length of the sample shall not be less than 1.20 m. The number of samples is 3. 3.2 Inner diameter
3.2.1 Use a plug gauge to measure the inner diameter of the hose. The plug gauge is made of metal and its structure is shown in the figure below. The size and tolerance of the plug gauge shall be as specified in Table 5.
Nominal inner diameter
Basic dimensions

Limit deviation
Basic dimensions
3.2.2 When measuring the inner diameter, first cut both ends of the sample flush, and then measure both ends with a plug gauge. 3.3 Weight per unit length
3.3.1 Weigh the weight of the sample. The ratio of this weight to the length of the sample is the weight per unit length of the hose. 3.4 Water seepage
Limit deviation
3.4.1 The test water is town tap water. The water temperature is 1530℃. 3.4.2 Connect one end of the sample to the water source and seal the other end to keep the sample straight. Fill the sample with water within 2 minutes, then evenly increase the pressure to the working pressure specified in Article 1.1 within 1 minute and maintain the pressure for 16 minutes. From the 16th minute after the start of pressure maintenance, collect water in the water tank specified in Article 3.6b for 1 minute. The collected water volume is the water seepage volume of the sample. 31
GB 4580--84
During the test, a line or other appropriate method should be used on the sample to prevent the water seepage beyond the 1-meter test length from flowing into the water tank, and all the water seepage within the test length should be collected in the water tank. In addition, the sample shall not be touched. 3.4.3 From the 16th minute after the start of pressure maintenance, check whether the sample has holes. The determination of holes is based on whether there is water column spraying out. 3.5 Burst pressure
3.5.1 Vertical burst pressure
After the water seepage volume test is completed, the pressure is evenly increased to the vertical burst pressure specified in Table 4, and the pressure is maintained for 5 seconds. The sample shall not rupture. The pressure increase time is 30 to 60 seconds.
3.5.2 Burst pressure in curved state
After measuring the water seepage and releasing the pressure, bend the sample into an arc with an inner radius of 700 mm. One folded edge of the sample should be at the outermost side of the arc. Raise the pressure evenly to the burst pressure in curved state specified in Table 4, and the sample shall not break. The pressure increase time is 30 to 60 seconds. 3.5.3 Burst pressure in folded state
After measuring the water seepage and releasing the pressure, fold the sample in half from the center, make the sample close together and fix it. Raise the pressure evenly to the burst pressure in folded state specified in Table 4, maintain the pressure for 5 seconds, and the sample shall not break. The pressure increase time is 30 to 60 seconds. 3.6 Test equipment
Electric reciprocating pump (single-cylinder reciprocating pump shall not be used): a pressure stabilizing device shall be provided. Water tank: 1000±5 mm long, made of non-absorbent material. b.
Glass measuring cylinder; the minimum scale shall not exceed 5 ml. c.
Pressure gauge: the accuracy shall not be lower than Class 1, the maximum range shall not exceed 60 kgf/cm2, and it shall be equipped with a needle stop device. d.
e. Stopwatch.
4 Inspection rules
4.1 During the inspection, the same type, same inner diameter, and 1000 meters long hose shall be considered as a batch. 100 meters shall be randomly selected for appearance inspection. Three samples shall be cut in the most economical way, and the sample length shall comply with the provisions of 3.1.1. 4.23 The inner diameter of the samples shall comply with the provisions of this standard, and the arithmetic mean of the unit length weight and water seepage of the three samples shall comply with the provisions of this standard. Each sample shall only be subjected to a burst test in one state and shall comply with the provisions of this standard. 4.3 If any item does not comply with the provisions of this standard during the inspection, it is allowed to be re-inspected once. During the re-inspection, the sample shall be doubled in the most economical way. The results of the sample re-inspection shall comply with the provisions of this standard, otherwise it shall be a non-conforming product. 4.4 When there is a dispute between the supply and demand parties over the quality of the product, all costs of arbitration inspection shall be borne by the responsible party. 5 Packaging and marking
5.1 The hose shall be rolled into a disc shape and firmly packed in layers with wear-resistant and moisture-proof materials. 5.2 Each package is only allowed to contain hoses with the same working pressure, the same inner diameter, and the same raw materials, and the weight shall not exceed 80 kg. 5.3 Each package of hoses shall be accompanied by a factory inspection certificate and an instruction manual. The certificate includes the factory name (trademark), product name, nominal inner diameter, raw material, working pressure, length, number, production date, and inspector. 5.4 The outside of the package shall be marked with the factory name (trademark), product name, nominal inner diameter, raw material, length, production date, and gross weight. 5.5 Each hose shall be marked with a colored line as the center line of the belt body. The factory name (trademark), raw material, nominal inner diameter, and production date shall be marked near the end. If it is a long hose, it is advisable to print a set of the above marks every 20 meters. The logo must be clearly printed on both sides of the center line in a color that is not easy to fall off.
