Cold air, especially strong cold air and cold wave, is one of the major disastrous weather in my country. It has the characteristics of high frequency, long duration, wide impact range and serious disasters. The frequent occurrence of cold air will not only cause huge losses to my country's national economy, especially agricultural production, but also cause serious impact and harm to the environment and people's lives and health. For a long time, my country's meteorological workers have conducted a lot of research on cold air, especially cold waves. However, due to the vast territory of my country, the natural geography and climate of various places are very different. Therefore, the classification standards of cold air in the past few decades have not been unified in various places, and have been changed from time to time, and some are not scientific and reasonable enough. The purpose of this standard is to unify and standardize the cold air classification standards that affect a single station in my country, so that the monitoring, forecasting, warning, assessment, research and prevention of cold air can be more standardized, standardized and scientific. This standard is compiled and formulated based on the current cold air forecast and warning business regulations of the China Meteorological Administration, the Central Meteorological Observatory and the meteorological stations of various provinces (cities and regions).
1 Scope
Cold air classification
This standard specifies the principles and cold air classification of cold air. This standard is applicable to the monitoring, forecasting, warning, assessment and scientific research of cold air in my country. 2 Terms and definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions and terms
Cold air
Air that lowers the temperature of the place it passes through
Daily minimum temperature
The lowest value of the temperature at the time.
GB/T 20484—2006
Note: The lowest temperature between 06:00 (UTC, the same below) and 06:00 on the same day as specified in the "Specifications for Ground Meteorological Observations". 2.3
Temperature drop within 24 hours
After 06:00 on a certain day
the drop of daily minimum temperature in 24 hourshThe difference between the daily minimum temperature and the minimum temperature of a certain day. Temperature drop within 48 hours
the drop of daily minimum temperature in 48 hoursThe difference between the lowest daily minimum temperature within 48 hours after 06:00 on a certain day and the daily minimum temperature of a certain day. Temperature drop within 72 hoursthe drop of daily minimum temperature in 72 hoursThe difference between the lowest daily minimum temperature within 72 hours after 06:00 on a certain day and the daily minimum temperature of a certain day. 3 Principles of cold air classification
The cold air classification is specifically based on the two indicators of the decline in the daily minimum temperature and the daily minimum temperature value in the areas affected by the cold air within a certain period of time.
4 Cold air classification
4.1 Classification
Cold air is divided into five levels: weak cold air, moderate cold air, strong cold air, strong cold air and cold wave. 4.2 Weak cold air
Cold air that causes the minimum temperature of a certain place to drop by less than 6℃ within 48h. 4.3 Moderate cold air
Cold air that causes the minimum temperature of a certain place to drop by more than or equal to 6℃ but less than 8℃ within 48h. 4.4 Strong cold air
Cold air that causes the minimum temperature of a certain place to drop by more than or equal to 8℃ within 48h, but fails to reduce the minimum temperature of the place to 8℃ or below.
GB/T20484-2006
4.5 Strong cold air
Cold air that causes the lowest air temperature in a certain place to drop by more than or equal to 8℃ within 48 hours, and causes the daily lowest temperature in the place to drop to 8℃ or below.
4.6 Cold airbzxz.net
Cold air that causes the lowest air temperature in a certain place to drop by more than or equal to 8℃ within 24 hours, or causes the temperature to drop by more than or equal to 10℃ within 48 hours, or causes the temperature to drop by more than or equal to 12℃ within 72 hours, and causes the daily lowest temperature in the place to drop to 4℃ or below. Note: In this clause, the daily lowest temperature must drop continuously within 48 hours or 72 hours. [i]
