GB/T 40290 specifies the basic principles, basic requirements, basic information, qualification information, quality and safety information, evaluation information and verification methods for the release of import commodity information in cross-border e-commerce transactions.
GB/T 40290 applies to the release and management of import commodity information by cross-border e-commerce trading platforms.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Cross-border electronic commerce
A commercial activity in which trading entities in different customs territories reach transactions and make payment settlements through e-commerce platforms, and deliver commodities and complete transactions through cross-border logistics.

4 Basic Principles
4.1 Authenticity
The information released on imported goods in cross-border e-commerce (hereinafter referred to as "cross-border e-commerce") shall be authentic, accurate and effective, without any false content.
This document stipulates the basic principles, basic requirements, basic information, qualification information, quality and safety information, evaluation information and verification methods for the release of imported goods information in cross-border e-commerce transactions. This document applies to the release and management of imported goods information by cross-border e-commerce trading platforms.

Cross-border e-commerce is a commercial activity in which transactions between parties in different customs territories are concluded and payment is settled through e-commerce platforms, and goods are delivered and transactions are completed through cross-border logistics.
