This standard specifies the types, nominal diameters, bursting pressure ranges, etc. of reverse-arch metal bursting discs. This standard applies to overpressure relief of pressure vessels, pipelines or other confined spaces. The maximum working pressure of the system shall not exceed 90% of the bursting pressure. Except for the reverse-arch detachment type bursting disc, which cannot withstand the back pressure difference, all other types of bursting discs can withstand a certain back pressure difference, and the bursting disc will not fragment or will be ejected as a whole during the explosion. When the reverse-arch detachment type bursting disc with bracket explodes, its effective discharge area is 40% of the nominal discharge area. This standard does not apply to pressure systems with non-gaseous media.
