Chemical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China
Determination of Realgar Ore and Orpiment
Subject Content and Scope of Application
This standard specifies the determination of moisture in realgar and orpiment products by the loss-in-weight method. This standard applies to the determination of moisture in realgar and orpiment products. 2 Method Summary
The sample is dried at 80±2℃ to constant weight, and its water content is calculated by weight loss. 3 Instruments and Apparatus
3.1 Weighing bottle: flat, with ground mouth, diameter of about 70mm, height of about 30mm. 3.2 Oven: with automatic temperature controller.
3.3 Dryer: filled with appropriate desiccant, such as color-changing silica gel, and other general laboratory instruments
4 Sample
The sample passes through a 2mm standard sieve
5 Analysis steps
HG/T2275.4—92
Weigh 50g of sample, accurate to 0.001g, and place it in a weighing bottle that has been dried to constant weight at 80±2℃ in advance. Shake the weighing bottle gently to spread the sample evenly in the weighing bottle, open the bottle cap, and put it in an oven at 80±2℃ to dry for 2h. Take out the weighing bottle, cover it with the cap, and put it in a dryer to cool to room temperature and weigh it. Repeat the operation (drying time is 0.5h) until the difference between the two weighings is no more than 0.002g.
Weigh two samples each time for parallel determination. 6. Expression of analysis results
The moisture content X expressed as mass percentage is calculated according to formula (1): m
Where: m—mass of sample plus weighing bottle before drying, g;—mass of sample plus weighing bottle after drying, g; m2
mass of sample, g.
The arithmetic result of parallel determination is taken The average value is taken as the determination result. The allowable difference of the parallel determination results is shown in the following table. Approved by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China on March 12, 19928
