National Standard of the People's Republic of China Methods for sampling ion exchange resinsUDC 678.5/.8 GB5475—85 This standard applies to wet ion exchange resins, and samples are taken from the original packaging container of the manufacturer. The purpose is to obtain a uniform sample that can represent the various physical and chemical properties of the resin to be tested. 1 Sampling tools 1.1 Sampler (applicable to resin layer height of about 500mm) 1.1.1 Material: stainless steel. 1.1.2 Dimensions: outer diameter 29mm, total length 700mm, opening length 400mm, opening width 19mm, tube wall thickness 2mm, as shown in the figure. If the packaging container is small, the total length of the sampler should be appropriately shortened, about 200mm above the resin layer, and its opening length is 80% of the resin layer height. 1.2 Sugar porcelain plate: 500mm×300mm or plastic cloth 700mm×700mm. 1.3 Organic glass ruler: 300mm×30mm; 700mm×35mm. 1.4 Sample container: wide-mouth bottle, capacity of 1000ml. 2 Sampling rules 2.1 When sampling is required from the same batch (production, each batch of products is considered as a batch) of resin, and there are n packages in total, when n is less than or equal to 3; each package shall be sampled at least 3 times. When n is greater than 3, a random sampling method shall be adopted, and the total number of samples shall be calculated according to the formula √n+1 (round off the decimals to the integer), and each package shall be sampled at least 2 times. 2.2 When sampling m batches of resin products at the same time, the manufacturer shall still sample each batch of products separately according to Article 2.1. The user can calculate the number of samples according to the formula, n+1, based on the total number of goods received, and conduct random sampling. 2.3 When conducting a comprehensive inspection of the various performance indicators of the resin, the final sampling volume shall not be less than 1L. 3 Operation steps 3.1 Sampling 3.1.1 Open the package and insert the sampler vertically downward into the bottom of the resin layer on the unfixed part. 3.1.2 In order to prevent the resin from sliding out of the sampler, before pulling out the sampler, the sampler should be tilted at an angle of 15 to 20° to the vertical direction while ensuring that the opening of the sampler faces 1: National Bureau of Standards 1985-10-17 Issued 1986-07-01 Implementation GB5475-85bzxz.net , then pull out the sampler and put the resin into the sample container. 3.2 Mixing and reducing samples 3.2.1 Sample stacking Pour the individual samples to be mixed or reduced into a porcelain tray or a flat plastic sheet and stack them into a cone. Note: Individual samples refer to the samples taken from one package at a time. 3.2.2 Turning the samples Turn the sample stack without damaging the samples to achieve a uniform mixing effect. 3.2.3 Spreading the samples Gently spread the samples in half by hand, with a thickness of about 10 to 20 mm. 3.2.4 Dividing the samples into equal parts Use a ruler of appropriate size to divide the spread sample into four equal parts. 3.2.5 Mixing of new sample piles Put away each equal portion at intervals to form a new sample pile, and repeatedly turn over the new sample to obtain the mixed sample. 3.2.6 Reduction of sample Repeat the steps of flattening and dividing the mixed sample, and discard two equal portions at intervals to obtain the sample reduction. Repeat the operations of 3.2.1 to 3.2.5, and reduce the sample until the required sample volume is obtained. If the sample needs to be stored for a long time, the sample container should be sealed and stored in a dark place. 4 Marking of sample Put the sample in the sample container and mark it in the container. Label the product. Label content: Product name, Product batch number, Model, Sampling location: Total number of packages; Production date, Sampling date; Manufacturer name, Sampler signature.
