Some standard content:
GB17675—1999 This standard is equivalent to 70/311/EEC "Agreement of the Member States on the Steering Mechanism of Motor Vehicles and Their Trailers". It is just that according to the habit of compiling Chinese standards, the contents of the test conditions are listed separately, and the definition of "maneuvering action time" is added. This standard also adds the contents of Article 11 of the Japanese safety standard and the provisions on steering in GB7258—1997 "Technical Conditions for Motor Vehicle Operation Safety". This standard is proposed by the State Machinery Industry Bureau. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Automobile Standardization Technical Committee. This standard is drafted by the China Automotive Technology Research Center. The drafter of this standard: Jiang Biqi. This standard is interpreted by the National Automobile Standardization Technical Committee. 40 National Standard of the People's Republic of China Steering system of motor vehicles-Basic requirements Steering system of motor vehicles-Basic requirements This standard specifies the basic requirements for the design and installation of the structure of the steering system of the vehicle. This standard is applicable to M and N road vehicles. 2 Terms This standard adopts the following definitions. 2.1 Steering system GB 17675--1999 EQV 70/311/EECwww.bzxz.net A mechanism for changing the direction of a vehicle, which consists of a steering control mechanism, a steering transmission, a steering wheel and a special mechanism. 2.2 Steering control mechanism A mechanism directly operated by the driver to control the direction of the vehicle. 2.3 Steering transmission All mechanisms between the steering control mechanism and the steering wheel (except special mechanisms). It can be mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric or any combination thereof. Trailer steering transmission refers to all mechanisms that transmit the required force to the trailer steering wheel to change the direction of the vehicle. 2.4 Steering wheel A wheel that changes the direction of the vehicle by changing its direction. 2.5 Special mechanism Special mechanism is also a part of the steering system. It can generate auxiliary or independent power to realize the steering of the car alone or in an auxiliary manner. It is composed of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or any combination of them (for example, with the help of oil pump, air pump and battery). 2.6 Human power steering Steering powered only by the driver's physical strength. 2.7 Power steering Steering powered by both the driver's physical strength and special mechanism. 2.8 Full power steering Steering powered only by special mechanism. 2.9 Power steering Operation time The time interval from the moment the driver starts to operate the steering control mechanism until the position at which the measurement starts is reached. 2.10 Steering force The force applied by the driver to the steering control mechanism in order to change the direction of the vehicle. 3 Basic requirements 3.1 The steering wheel must be left-handed. Approved by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision on February 14, 1999 and implemented on January 1, 2000 3.2 The rear wheels shall not be used alone as steering wheels. 3.3 Full power steering shall not be installed. ||tt ||GB17675—1999 3.4 The deflection of the steering wheel during steering must be gradual. 3.5 The steering system must be sufficiently rigid and durable to ensure driving safety. 3.6 The steering system must ensure that the driver can operate it conveniently and accurately in the normal driving operating position. The steering system must not interfere with other components in any operating position. 3.7 The steering wheels of the automobile should have the ability to automatically return to the center position to keep the automobile running steadily in a straight line. 3.8 Automobiles with two or more steering axles, where the rear wheels are also used as steering wheels, When a full trailer or a semitrailer with one or more steering axles is traveling at a speed of 80 km/h (if the maximum speed is lower than 80 km/h, the maximum design speed shall be used), the driver must be able to keep the vehicle moving in a straight line without making abnormal steering corrections. 3.9 When turning at a speed of 10 km/h and a turning diameter of 24 m, the steering force should be less than 245 N without power steering, and less than 588 N with power steering but when the power steering fails. The maneuvering time should not exceed 4 seconds under normal circumstances, and should not exceed 6 seconds with power steering but when the power steering fails. s. Both left and right directions must be tested. 3.10 When the vehicle is moving forward and turning left or right, there shall be no significant difference in the steering wheel's left and right turning angle and steering force. After partial or complete failure of the hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical components in the steering system, the steering system must be able to control the direction of the vehicle. 3.11 Vehicle 3.12 When the power steering device itself does not have an independent auxiliary power source, an accumulator must be provided. If compressed air is used, a one-way valve must be provided on the air storage cylinder. 3.13 The design, structure and installation of all parts of the steering system must ensure that the driver's clothes and accessories are not hooked during normal operation; there shall be no rough surfaces or sharp edges that may aggravate the driver's injury in the event of a collision; and they should be easily accessible for maintenance. 4 Test conditions 4.1 Road Flat, dry, horizontal hard road surface. 4.2 Vehicle Loaded to the factory-specified maximum total mass, the tire pressure and axle load distribution shall comply with the manufacturer's regulations. 42 Tip: This standard content only shows part of the intercepted content of the complete standard.
