National Standard of the People's Republic of China Acceleration performance of motorcycles and mopeds Test method Method of acceleration test for motorcycles and mopeds This standard adopts the Japanese Industrial Standard JISD1035 "Test method for acceleration performance of motorcycles" Subject content and scope of application GB/T 5385--94 GB4565---84 GB5385-85 This standard specifies the test conditions for the acceleration performance test of motorcycles and mopeds and the test methods for starting acceleration and overtaking acceleration performance. This standard is applicable to the acceleration performance test of motorcycles and mopeds (except racing cars). 2 Referenced standards GB/T5378 General principles for road test methods for motorcycles and mopeds 3 Test conditions The test conditions shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T5378. 4 Starting acceleration performance test method 4.1 Set up an acceleration performance test section on the test road, and its length is as specified in the following table. Sufficiently long auxiliary driving areas should be ensured at both ends of the test section. When it is necessary to draw a \St\ relationship diagram, test points can be set up at 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m or other points at the starting point of the test section. Test items Starting acceleration performance Overtaking acceleration performance Acceleration performance test section length Moped Two-wheeled motorcycle Three-wheeled motorcycle 4.2 After the test vehicle is preheated and driven, it stops 0.5m in front of the starting point of the acceleration test section (based on the front wheel pressure line). At the beginning of the test, start at the lowest gear (speed), change gears (speeds) in sequence, accelerate to the highest gear (speed), and quickly pass through the test area. Use an automatic timing device or a stopwatch to measure the time taken by the test vehicle from the starting point to the end point. If necessary, the time taken by the test vehicle from the starting point to each mark can be measured at the same time. Each test should be carried out back and forth, and the average value of the measured time of the round-trip test is calculated. 4.3 According to the average value of the measured time calculated in Article 4.2, use formula (1) to calculate the acceleration from the starting point to each mark. Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on December 27, 1994 and implemented on July 1, 1995 www.bzxz.net In the formula: a--acceleration, m/s2, S--distance, m; t--time, s. GB/T 5385--94 (1) 4.4 Record the test data and results in Table A1 of Appendix A (Supplement), and draw the \St relationship diagram as needed, see Appendix B (Supplement). 5 Overtaking acceleration performance test method 5.1 On the test road, set up an acceleration performance test section, the length of which is specified in the table of Article 4.1. Take 2m or 50m before the start of the acceleration test section as the initial speed test section (take 2m when using an automatic timing device, and take 50m when using a stopwatch). Before the start of the initial speed test section and after the end of the acceleration test section, a sufficiently long auxiliary driving area should be ensured. When it is necessary to draw the \St relationship diagram, test points can be set at 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m or other points of the acceleration test section. 5.2 In principle, the vehicle under test shall pass the initial speed test section stably at the specified initial speed in the highest gear. The initial speed shall be in accordance with the provisions of Article 5.3. When the vehicle under test reaches the starting point of the acceleration test section, it shall accelerate rapidly through this section. The time taken by the vehicle under test to pass through the initial speed test section and the acceleration test section shall be measured by an automatic timing device or a stopwatch. Each test shall be conducted back and forth, and the average time of the round-trip test shall be calculated. 5.3 The initial speed of the vehicle under test for the overtaking acceleration test is as follows: 20±2km/h for light motorcycles. If 50% of the maximum speed of such vehicles is less than 20km/h, 50% of the maximum speed of the vehicle shall be used as the initial test speed, and the tolerance is ±2km/h; 30±1km/h for motorcycles. If the motorcycle under test cannot run stably at an initial speed of 30±1km/h in the highest gear, the second highest gear may be used. The initial test speed is still 30±1km/h, and gear shifting is not allowed during the test. 5.4 Based on the average value of the measurement time obtained in 5.2, use the following formula to calculate the acceleration from the start point of the acceleration test interval to each mark point. 2(S -Vot) Where: a - acceleration, m/s, S - distance, m; t - time, s; V. - initial velocity of measurement, m/s. 5.5 Record the test data and results in Table A2 of Appendix A.
