The requirements for non-metallic abrasives commonly used for blast cleaning can be found in ISO 11126. ISO 11126 It consists of the following parts under the general title "Technical requirements for non-metallic abrasives for blast cleaning of steel surfaces before coating": Part 1: Guidance and classification Part 3: Copper refining slag Part 4: Coal furnace slag Part 5: Refining slag Part 6: Refining slag Part 7: Molten lead oxide Part 8: Olivine sand Part 9: Staurolite Part 10: Iron aluminum garnet The above Part 3 has been formulated into a national standard, namely GB/T 17850.31999 Technical requirements for non-metallic abrasives for blast cleaning of steel surfaces before coating Steel refining slag (eqIS0 11126-3:1993) GB/T 18838.1~2002
Test methods for non-metallic abrasives for blast cleaning are given in ISO 11127. ISO 11127 consists of the following parts under the general title "Surface preparation of steel substrates before coating - Test methods for non-metallic abrasives for blast cleaning":
Part 1: Samples
Part 2: Determination of particle size distribution
Part 3: Determination of apparent density change
Part 4: Evaluation of hardness by glass slide test Part 1 to 7 include the formulation of national standards, (G3/T17849-1999) Abrasive blast cleaning technology is widely used in surface cleaning and treatment. When formulating the international standard series for the surface treatment of steel before coating, it was decided that a series of international standards covering the commonly used abrasives for blast cleaning of steel surfaces should be formulated. The type and particle shape of the abrasive used for blast cleaning will seriously affect the roughness of the surface preparation after treatment. The supplement to ISO85011 gives typical photographs of the changes in the surface of steel when blast cleaning is performed using different types of abrasives. (ISC) 8501-1:1988/Supplementary material: Visual assessment of surface cleanliness of steel surfaces before coating - Part 1: Rust grade and rust removal grade of painted steel and wood after complete removal of existing coatings - Supplementary material: Typical sample photographs of color changes on steel surfaces blasted with different abrasives)
ISO8.032 gives comparative characteristics of surface finish after surface treatment. Table 1 in Part 1 of ISO 11124 specifies the comparison type of each blasting abrasive. (IS0850:3-2:1988 Surface treatment of steel before removal of coatings - Roughness characteristics of steel surfaces after blasting - Part 2: Comparative method of roughness classification of steel surfaces after blasting) This part is handled by China State Shipbuilding Corporation. This part is under the jurisdiction of China Shipbuilding Industry Ship Technology Research Institute. Technical requirements and classification of metal abrasives for blasting
GB/T 18B38.1—2002
It is warned that equipment, materials and abrasives used in surface preparation may be dangerous if care is not taken. Many countries have regulations for materials that are considered dangerous during and after use (material management), such as free special substances, carcinogens or toxic substances. Therefore, these regulations should be followed and it is important to ensure that adequate guidance is given and that all required precautions are implemented. 1 Scope
This part of GB/T 18838 covers the classification and marking of metallic abrasives used for blast cleaning of steel surfaces before coating.
This part applies to the marking of unused metallic abrasives. Note 1: This part 0 11124 It is specially formulated for the treatment requirements of steel components. The characteristics specified in this specification are applicable to the surface parts of other materials treated by abrasive blasting. These technical specifications are specified in IS08504-2:20058 Surface treatment of steel materials before coating - Surface treatment methods - Part 2: Abrasive blasting. 2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this part of GB/T18838. 2.1
Abrasive blast-cleaning ahrasive 2.2 wwW.bzxz.Net
For solid materials used in abrasive blast-cleaning,
Abrasive blast-cleaning ahrasive Blast-cleaning is a surface treatment method that uses a high-energy abrasive stream to impact the surface to be cleaned. Shot
is a particle with a main shape of angular shape, a length not greater than twice the maximum particle width, and no edges, broken sections, or other sharp surface defects. Grit
is a particle with a main shape of angular shape, with broken sections and edges, and the shape of the broken section is less than half of the cross section. 2.5
Cylindric
cylindricnl parts
is a sharp-shaped particle with an aspect ratio of 1 and a cross section that is approximately perpendicular to the center line, 3 categories
3.1 Types of materials
GB/T 18838.1 2002
Metal materials should be classified according to material, origin or manufacturing method. The commonly used blast cleaning abrasives for steel surface treatment are shown in Table 1. Note 3 The materials listed in Table 1 are some metal abrasives commonly used for surface treatment of copper materials before coating, but they are not all metal abrasives. 1 Abrasives for blast cleaning of steel surface treatment

Comparison sample:
, when evaluating the final quality, use the comparison sample to evaluate the quality of the sample. The method of using the comparison sample to evaluate the quality of the sample is as follows: 15 (hereinafter referred to as GB/T 185532) stipulates that some types of spectra will change their appearance dramatically during use. In this case, the roughened surface can be processed and the appearance will become closer to the "machine shape" appearance.
3.2 Initial particle shape
The particle shape is the geometric shape of the particles of the material. The shape of the metal abrasive particles and their derivatives can be found in Table 2. Note 3: Since the particle shape of the particles will change after use, the particle shape specified in each part of GB/T 18838 refers to the initial shape. Table 2 Initial particle shape
Name and final particle shape
Pellets. Surface shape
Sand particles - irregular angular shapes
Spherical particles, sharp edges
3.3 Particle size range
Mixtures of particles of different sizes should be classified according to size specifications or specifications. Size specifications or specifications are represented by three digits. This number represents the approximate value of the midpoint of the size range or the nominal diameter. It is expressed as 1 in meters. For example: Specification 200
represents the approximate value of the midpoint of the size range or the nominal diameter of 2.00 mr, and the particle size range is greater than 1.70 mm, the ratio is more than 80%, and there is no particle size larger than 2.36 mm. 4 Marking
4.1 The product marking of metal abrasives consists of the following parts: product name, technical characteristic value and standard number, expressed as;
G1/T 18R38.1
Hardness (if specified, Vickers hardness)
Primary particle shape derivative
Abbreviation of abrasive
