GB19434.1-2004 General Rules for Safety Inspection of Intermediate Bulk Containers for Dangerous Goods SN/T0987.7-2001 Specification for Performance Inspection of Intermediate Bulk Containers for Export of Dangerous Goods Fiberboard Intermediate Bulk Containers 3 Terms and Definitions The following terms and definitions established in GB19434.1-2004 apply to this standard. 3.1 Fibreboard Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) refer to intermediate bulk containers that meet the definition of intermediate bulk containers in GB19434.1-2004 and consist of a fiberboard box with or without a separate cover or bottom, an inner container (but without inner container) when necessary, and corresponding auxiliary equipment and structural devices. 4 Requirements 4. Fiberboard intermediate bulk containers shall not use top lifting devices. 4.2 According to the capacity and purpose of the container, the IBC shall be made of high-strength and high-quality solid or double-sided corrugated fiberboard (single or multi-layer). The waterproof performance of the outer surface shall ensure that the mass increase measured by the Cobb splash absorption method for more than 30 minutes shall not exceed 155 mol/m. The fiberboard shall have appropriate flexibility. The corrugated fiberboard shall be firmly adhered to the surface material with waterproof glue. 4.3 The container wall, including the top and bottom, shall have a puncture strength of at least 15". 4.4 The joints made in the main body of the fiberboard IBC shall be properly overlapped and firmly fixed with glue strips or adhesives, or fastened with metal U-shaped nails or other at least equivalent methods. Waterproof glue shall be used for the parts that are watertight with adhesive or glue strips. Metal U-shaped nails shall completely penetrate all fastened parts, and their form and securing method shall ensure that the lining of the container will not be torn or punctured by them: 4.5 The lining shall be made of suitable materials. The strength of the materials used and the manufacture of the lining shall be compatible with the capacity and purpose of the intermediate bulk container. The connection parts and closing devices shall be leak-proof and able to withstand the pressure and impact that may occur under normal loading and unloading and transportation conditions. 4.6 Any complete chassis that is part of the intermediate bulk container shall be suitable for mechanical loading and unloading operations when the intermediate bulk container is loaded to its maximum total mass. 4.7 The chassis and the plane in contact with the base of the intermediate plastic bulk container shall be designed to avoid any protruding parts on the chassis to prevent damage during loading and unloading. 4.8 The container body shall be fastened to the chassis to ensure its stability during loading and unloading and transportation. 4.9 Strengthening wings such as wooden supports used to increase stacking performance shall be located outside the lining. GB 19434.7--2004 The performance test requirements of fiberboard intermediate bulk containers are shown in Table 1. Table 1 Performance test requirements Bottom lifting test Stacking test Drop test 5 Test 5. 1 Test items YKAONKAca- There is no loss of the contents, and the intermediate bulk container, including the bottom pallet, has no permanent deformation that endangers the safety of transportation. There is no loss of the contents, and the intermediate bulk container, including the bottom pallet, has no permanent deformation that endangers the safety of transportation. There is no loss of the contents. If a small amount of the contents is withdrawn from the outside after falling, it should be judged as qualified as long as there is no further leakage. Test items for fiberboard IBCs are shown in Table 2. Test items Bottom lifting test Stacking test Drop test Table 3 Sampling quantity Intermediate bulk container type 1IG Requirements" Unit: piece Sampling number 5.2.2 Without affecting the inspection structure, it is allowed to reduce the sampling quantity and conduct multiple tests on one sample. 5.3 Test preparation Fiberboard intermediate bulk containers should be placed in a controlled temperature and relative humidity At least 241°C is treated under atmospheric conditions. There are three options from which one can be selected. It is recommended to choose an atmospheric condition of 23°C + 2°C and 50% ± 2%. The other two options are 20°C ± 2°C and 65% + 2% or 272°C and 65% = 2%. Note that the average value should be within these limits. Short-term dynamics and measurement limitations will cause each time the amount changes, the relative humidity changes can reach ± 5%, and there is no significant effect on the test reproducibility. 5.4 Test content 5. 4.1 Bottom lifting test 5.4.1.1 Scope of application: Applicable to all fiberboard intermediate bulk containers. 5.4.1.2 Sample preparation: The intermediate container should be filled to 1.25 times of its maximum permitted total mass, and the load should be evenly distributed. 5.4.1.3 Test method: Follow the requirements of 6.3.1.3 in SN/T 0987.7. 5.4.2 Stacking test 5.4.2.1 Applicable scope: Applicable to fiberboard intermediate bulk containers for stacking storage. 5.4.2.2 Sample preparation: The intermediate transfer container should be loaded with its maximum permitted total mass. 5.4.2.3 Test method: Follow the requirements of 6.3.2.3 in SV/T0987.7. CB 19434.7--2004 5.4.2.4: Calculation of test load: The test load applied to the intermediate bulk container shall be at least 1.8 times the sum of the maximum permissible total mass of the same intermediate bulk containers stacked on it during transportation. 5.4.3 Drop test 5.4.3.1 Scope of application: Applicable to all fiberboard intermediate bulk containers, sample preparation, intermediate bulk containers shall be filled to not less than 95% of their capacity according to their design type. 5.4.3.2 5. 4. 3. 3 Test method: According to 6. 3.3. of SN/T 0987.7. 3. 5.4.3.4 Drop height, see Table 4. 5.4.3.5 Acceptance criterion: No loss of contents. A small amount of material is withdrawn from the seal after impact. As long as no further withdrawal occurs, this phenomenon shall be considered acceptable. Table 4 Drop height I level packaging 6 Inspection rules I level packaging I level packaging Unit: meter 6.1 The manufacturer shall ensure that the fiberboard intermediate bulk containers it produces comply with the provisions of this standard and shall be inspected by the relevant inspection departments in accordance with this standard. Users have the right to request acceptance inspections for the products they receive in accordance with the provisions of this standard. 6.2 Inspection items: Inspect item by item in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 of this standard. 6.3 Fiberboard intermediate bulk containers should be subjected to performance inspections when any of the following conditions occur: Performance inspections when new products are put into production or when old products are switched to production: After formal production, if there are major changes in structure, materials, or processes that may affect product performance. If there are slight differences between the intermediate bulk container and its detailed type, such as a slight reduction in external dimensions, etc., selective testing may be allowed for this intermediate bulk container. —In normal production, Once every six months, when the product is resumed after a long-term suspension of production When the factory inspection results are significantly different from the previous performance inspection results; a national quality supervision agency proposes to conduct a performance inspection. 6.4 Judgment rules: Inspect each item according to the requirements of the standard. If one sample fails in each item, the item is judged to be unqualified. If one item fails, the batch of products is considered unqualified. 6.5 Handling of unqualified batches: After the fiberboard medium bulk containers in the unqualified batch are stripped, they are submitted for inspection again, and the strictness remains unchanged.
