National Standard of the People's Republic of China Shellac This standard applies to shellac flakes processed by hot filtration and solvent methods from granular shellac and raw shellac. UDC 634. 0 .892.6 GB 8138-87 Replaces LY207-76 This standard is proposed with reference to the international standards ISO56/1-1979 "Shellac Flakes" and ISO56/2-1979 "Machine-made Shellac Flakes". Definition Shellac flakes refer to unbleached and dewaxed shellac flakes processed by hot filtration and solvent methods, and are the main products in my country at present. They are widely used in coatings, electrical appliances, clocks and watches, food, medicine, papermaking, rubber, military industry and other departments. 2 Technical requirements All levels of shellac flakes should meet the following technical indicators. Special— ③Selected test indicators should be inspected if the buyer raises an objection to ensure that the indicators meet the standard requirements. 3 Acceptance rules 3.1 Using the same method, the same batch of shellac is produced in one day, and each batch of products must be inspected for the required test indicators. A comprehensive index analysis must be conducted within one month to ensure that all indicators meet the requirements of this standard, and a certificate of conformity shall be placed in each box of products. 3.2 If each batch of products is less than 100 boxes. The number of sampling boxes shall not be less than 20%, and 10% shall be taken for more than 100 boxes. Samples shall be taken from different parts of the boxes. The Ministry of Forestry of the People's Republic of China approved the packaging on November 12, 1987. The packaging was implemented on May 1, 1988. The sampling volume of each box is basically the same. After the sample is fully mixed, it is divided into 300g by quartering for inspection. 3.3 If any of the test results does not meet the standard indicators, double sampling should be carried out for re-inspection. If the re-inspection results still do not meet the specified technical indicators, this batch of products will be unqualified products of this level. 3.4 If the user unit raises an objection to the product quality and needs arbitration, it should be raised within three months after arrival. The arbitration unit shall be the Forestry Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Station of the Ministry of Forestry or the testing unit agreed by both parties, and the arbitration analysis shall be conducted in accordance with this standard. The increase in the color index of the product within one year from the date of ex-factory shall not exceed 6. 4 Packaging, transportation, storage 4.1 Shellac sheets are packed in wooden boxes or other packaging materials, lined with a layer of kraft paper, and the net weight of each box is 25kg. The manufacturer, product name, grade, production date, and the words "sun protection" and "moisture-proof" are marked on the wooden box. The box is placed with a certificate of product inspection results. 4.2 During transportation, the product is strictly prohibited from being exposed to the sun, rain, or near heat sources or humid places. 4.3 The product should be stored in a dry, ventilated, cool room to avoid caking. 5 Analysis and inspection The analysis and inspection of various technical indicators in this standard shall be carried out in accordance with GB8143-87 "Testing methods for shellac products".
