Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the principles and methods for the classification, nomenclature, type composition and division of pigments. GB/T 3182-1995
Replaces GB3182-82
This standard applies to the management of the classification, nomenclature and type of pigments, and is also applicable to the identification of pigment types and their differences. This standard does not apply to carbon black black pigments. 2 Classification
2.1 Pigments are classified according to color or characteristics and are represented by category codes consisting of two corresponding uppercase Chinese phonetic letters. As shown in Table 1. Table 1 Pigment category code

Pigments are divided into two major systems: inorganic pigments and organic pigments according to their chemical composition. 2.2
Luminescence [Pearlescent] [Physique
2.2.1 Each type of inorganic pigment is divided into several series according to its chemical category, and is represented by a two-digit Arabic numeral 01 to 49 after the category code, as shown in Table 2.

2.2.2 Each type of organic pigment is divided into several variety series according to its structural category, and a group of two Arabic numerals 51 to 99 are used after the category code to indicate it. As shown in Table 3.

3.1 The naming of pigments basically follows the current domestic customary names, and also adopts some international common names. Structural category
Dioxadiazine
Reducing
Acid cyanine
Isoindolinone
Triarylmethane
Benzimidazolones
3.2 The name of an organic pigment may be terminated with a letter symbol to indicate the meaning of hue, characteristics and texture. Before the letter symbol of hue and characteristics, Arabic numerals are sometimes used to indicate their degree. The meaning of the symbols is shown in Appendix A. 4 Model
4.1 The pigment model is used to distinguish specific pigment varieties. It is located before the pigment name. 4.2 The pigment model consists of two Chinese pinyin letters and two groups of Arabic numerals. The letters indicate the pigment category code and are located at the front of the model; the first group of two Arabic numerals indicate the pigment variety series code, and the second group of two Arabic numerals indicate the pigment serial number; a half-word "_" is added between the two groups of Arabic numerals to separate the variety series code and the serial number. 4.2.1 The pigment category code is shown in Table 1. 4.2.2 Pigment series codes are shown in Tables 2 and 3. 4.2.3 Pigment serial numbers (01 to 99) are used to distinguish different pigments of the same type and series. 4.2.3.1 Inorganic pigment serial numbers are used to distinguish pigments of the same type and chemical genus with different molecular formulas, or pigments of the same molecular formula but different production processes, crystal forms, hues, etc. 4.2.3.2 Organic pigment serial numbers are used to distinguish pigments of the same type and structural genus with different chemical formulas, compositions, hues, etc. 01~49 are different varieties with a single chemical structure; a.
51~79 are varieties mixed with two organic pigments; b.
81~~99 are varieties compounded with inorganic pigments and organic pigments; c.
Organic pigments with series codes 54, 56, and 57 are divided into single components and mixed components, so the serial numbers of these three series are separately specified as follows:
01~25 Single color lake
26~49Single color source
51~75Mixed color lake
76~~99Mixed color source

5.1 When it is necessary to apply for the model and name of the pigments that have been mass-produced, the manufacturer shall submit an application to the Basic Standard Technical Committee of Paints and Pigments under the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Paints and Pigments. When applying, the following product technical information must be submitted: product composition (molecular formula or structural formula), characteristics and uses, a.
product corresponding similar dye index (Colour Index); b.
product specifications or main technical indicators; c.
product application report.
5.2 After review (organize relevant personnel for discussion if necessary), the unified model name will be notified to the applicant and reported to the Ministry of Chemical Industry for record.
