5.1.1 The method for determining the leakage is in accordance with the provisions of HG2099. The leakage is the volume of the equivalent liquid under the pressure, which is stipulated as follows: when the shaft diameter is greater than 80 mm, the leakage is not more than 10 m/h; when the shaft diameter is not more than 80 mm, the leakage is not more than 8 mL/h; when the single-end seal structure is only qualitatively inspected for leakage, it is qualified if there are no obvious bubbles when observed by the naked eye; 5.1.2 When the working medium is toxic, flammable, or condensable gas, the leakage shall refer to the relevant safety regulations; 5.1.3 When the working medium is liquid, the average leakage is stipulated in the same way as 5.1.1.5.2 Abrasion
The size should meet the requirements of the service life of the alkali seal of the kettle. Under normal circumstances, the wear of the seal ring of soft materials is not more than 0:03mm after running for 100b.
5.3 Service life
Under the condition of reasonable structure, correct installation and use, when the working medium is neutral or weakly volatile gas or liquid, the service life of the mechanical seal is generally 8000h; when the working medium is highly corrosive or volatile gas, the service life of the mechanical seal is generally 4000h. Special circumstances are not subject to this limit,
5. 4 Static pressure test
The test force is 1.25 times the design pressure and lasts for 15m. The leakage rate is the same as 5.1.1. 6 Test of mechanical seals for steel or stainless steel
