GB 4564--84
GB 5386—85
This standard applies to coasting test for motorcycles and mopeds (except racing cars), but does not apply to coasting test for motorcycles and mopeds with continuously variable transmission, automatic transmission and automatic clutch. 2 Referenced standards
GB/T5378 General principles for road test of motorcycles and mopeds 3 Test conditions
The test conditions and preparation of the test vehicle shall comply with the provisions of GB/T5378. 4 Test method
4.1 Determination of gliding distance
4.1.1 Select a sufficiently long gliding area and auxiliary driving area on the test road. 4.1.2 The initial gliding speed for motorcycles is stipulated to be 40 ± 1 km/h; for mopeds, it is stipulated to be 30 ± 1 km/h. 4.1.3 When the test vehicle enters the starting point of the deceleration test area, the clutch should be disengaged and the gear should be in neutral, and the engine may not be turned off. 4.1.4 Measure the distance from the starting point to the stopping point of the test vehicle. 4.2 Determination of gliding resistance coefficient
4.2.1 Set up the gliding test area and each test section on the test road according to the diagram, and set up a timing device at each point. Auxiliary driving area

4.2.2 The initial coasting speed shall ensure that the time for the vehicle under test to pass the 100m test section is within 20±2s. 4.2.3 When the vehicle under test enters the starting point of the deceleration test section, the clutch shall be disengaged and the gear shall be in neutral, and the engine may not be turned off. 4.2.4 Measure the actual initial taxiing speed and the taxiing time t1 and t2 of the test vehicle passing through the 50m and 100m test sections. 4.2.5 Calculate the taxiing deceleration and taxiing resistance coefficient based on the measured values using formulas (1) and (2). b =
In formulas (1) and (2):
Sliding deceleration, m/s2
t2 - t/
t1—time from the starting point to the 50m test point, st2—time from the starting point to the 100m test point, s; f—sliding resistance coefficient.
4.3 Test results
(2)
4.3.1 The taxiing test is carried out twice, one round trip as one time, the taxiing distance is the larger value of the arithmetic mean of the forward and reverse distances, and the taxiing resistance coefficient is the smaller value of the arithmetic mean of the forward and reverse distances. 4.3.2 The test data and results shall be recorded in the table of Appendix A (Supplement). 157
