The packing list is an indispensable document in the full set of trade documents and a supplementary document to the commercial invoice. It can be used as the main basis for the buyer to check the goods and customs acceptance when receiving the goods. In actual applications, importers and exporters or their designated freight forwarders submit packing lists to the customs and inspection and quarantine agencies of the importers and exporters for customs declaration and inspection of goods. Logistics service providers (such as shipping companies) or their designated agents (such as ship agents) can also verify the cargo information based on them. The sender of the packing list information (exporter, export freight forwarder, etc.) and the receiver (importer, import freight forwarder, inspection and quarantine department, customs, logistics service provider, etc.) exchange necessary information by transmitting the packing list message or one or more related extended data (or files).
