During the revision, the original standard was edited, and the main technical content remained unchanged. This standard replaces ZBA29001--90 from the date of implementation. Appendix A of this standard is a prompt appendix. This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Metal and Non-metallic Coatings. The drafting units of this standard are: Wuhan Institute of Material Protection, Guangzhou Machine Tool Research Institute. The main drafters of this standard are: Wu Laixing, Luo Yongxiu, Wu Zhengqian, Wang Cuilian, Xu Xiaoyi, Li Guiyun. 1 Scope Machinery Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China Test method for rust preventive of water base materials-Method of cast iron powder Test method for rust preventive of water base materials-Method of cast iron powder This standard specifies the test method for determining the rust preventive performance of water base materials using cast iron powder. JB/T9189—1999 Replaces ZBA29001--90 This standard applies to the test of the anti-rust performance of water-based rust-proof materials, water-based cutting fluids and water-based metal cleaning materials on ferrous metals. 2 Method Summary Cast iron powder soaked in water-based materials is spread on filter paper. The anti-rust effect of the water-based materials is evaluated by the different degrees of rust left on the filter paper, taking advantage of the large surface area of the cast iron powder and the fact that it is easy to rust under high humidity. 3 Apparatus, materials and reagents a) Glass dryer: 300mm in diameter (hereinafter referred to as dryer); b) Standard test sieve (hereinafter referred to as standard sieve): 20 mesh, 0.90mm in aperture 40 mesh, 0.45mm in aperture; c) Rust assessment plate: made of 2mm thick, 80mm in diameter, colorless and transparent organic glass plate, with a 50mm×50mm square frame in the middle, and 100 5mm×5mm square grids engraved in the frame, with the grid engraving width not greater than 0.1mm; d) HT200 grey cast iron dry chips; e) Acetone: chemically pure; f) Distilled water; g) 80mm qualitative filter paper; h) 90mm incubator; i) Hair dryer: with cold and hot air. 4 Test method 4.1 Fill the dryer with distilled water to a height of about 50mm, and apply a thin layer of vaseline to the frosted opening of the dryer to make the dryer airtight. 4.2 Sieve the rust-free HT200 gray cast iron dry chips with a 20-mesh and 40-mesh standard sieve to obtain cast iron powder with a diameter of about 0.45~0.90mm (refer to Appendix A test for whether the material is rusted). 4.3 Test steps: Take 8g of cast iron powder with a diameter of 0.45-0.90mm and place it in a 100mL beaker, soak it with acetone twice, drain it and quickly blow it dry with cold air, then add 30mL of test solution, and discard the test solution after 15 minutes until there is no continuous droplet, then spread the cast iron powder evenly on the culture III with a qualitative filter paper with a diameter of 80mm and a 50mm×50mm square frame marked in the middle with a 2H pencil, put it in a desiccator, keep it at (25~35)℃ and RH≥90% for 4h, take it out, quickly rinse the cast iron powder on the filter paper with running tap water, blow the filter paper dry with hot air, and wait for classification. 4.4 Three parallel tests shall be conducted for each test solution at the same time, and comparative tests shall be conducted (see Appendix A). 5 Grading of test results 5.1 The anti-rust ability of water-based materials shall be judged according to the rust and color on the filter paper. 5.2 If the test result of the comparative test solution is level 0, the test result is valid, otherwise all the results shall be invalidated. 5.3 Overlap the rust assessment plate and the filter paper to be graded, and align the 50mm×50mm square frames of the two. The 100 squares on the rust assessment plate are the effective area, and the squares with rust are regarded as rusted squares. The number of rusted squares in the effective area is counted, and the percentage of rusted area is calculated. For rust on the dividing line or intersection of the rust assessment plate, if its diameter is equal to or greater than 1mm, all the squares it crosses are regarded as rusted squares. If it is less than 1mm, it is calculated as one square with rust. The rust result rating is shown in Table 1. Table 1 Degree of rust No rust Trace rust Mild rust Medium rust Severe rust No rust Observation conclusion No more than three rust spots, the diameter of the rust spots does not exceed 1mmRust area 4%~10%, light rust color Rust area 11%~25%, dark rust color Rust area>25%, dark rust color When the levels of the three parallel test results are the same, they shall be graded according to the same level. When the levels of the three parallel test results differ by 1 level, and two test results are at the same level, they shall be graded according to the results at the same level. 5.5 5.6For the three parallel test results, those with different levels cannot be graded and need to be retested. 2 Preparation of comparative test solution Sodium nitrite (chemically pure): 6% Sodium carbonate (chemically pure): 0.4% Distilled water: balance pH: 9~10 Test steps JB/T9189-1999 Appendix A (Suggestive appendix) Use comparative test solution instead of water-based material anti-rust solution to carry out comparative test in parallel with the test steps in 4.3. 3 People's Republic of China Mechanical Industry Standard Test method for antirust of water-based materials Cast iron powder method JB/T9189-1999 Published by the Machinery Standardization Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry Printed by the Machinery Standardization Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry (No. 2 Shouti South Road, Beijing Postal Code 100044) 1/16 Printing sheet 1/2 Number of words 8,000 Format 880×1230 First printing in July 1999 First edition in July 1999 Print run 1-500 Price 5.00 yuan 99-015 6661-6816 L/ar Tip: This standard content only shows part of the intercepted content of the complete standard.
