This standard applies to commercial millet for purchase, sale, allocation, storage, processing and export. Classification
It is divided into two categories according to the skin color and grain quality of millet: UDC 633.17

1.1 Stalk millet: the seed coat is mostly yellow (different shades) and white, beige, shiny, rice-like quality, and the purity is 95% or more. According to the dry grain weight of millet, it is divided into two types:
1.1.1 Large-grain stalk millet: the grain weight is 3.0g or more. 1.1.2 Small-grain stalk millet, the dry grain weight is less than 3.0g. 1.2 Glutinous millet (commonly known as sticky millet): the seed coat is mostly red (different shades), slightly shiny, the rice is glutinous, and the purity is 95% or more. 2.4 The maximum moisture limit and safe storage moisture standard for millet purchased shall be stipulated by the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government.
