This standard is based on the original national standard GB6294.1-1986, and refers to the international standard ISO5749:1988 "Twist and cut pliers - diagonal pliers dimensions and test values", and cancels the original national standard "A" and "B" classification of the bending strength and shear force of the pliers handle. This standard will replace GB6294.1-1986 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed by the Industry Management Department of the State Bureau of Light Industry. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Tool Hardware Standardization Center. The responsible drafting unit of this standard is Shanghai Tool Industry Research Institute; participating drafting units are Beijing Telecom Tool Factory, Zhejiang Wanda.
