Scope of Responsibilities of Materials Specialty and Tasks of Each Stage of Design HG/T20703.1-2000
Subject Content and Scope of Application
This standard specifies the scope of responsibilities of materials specialty and the main tasks of each stage of design, and is applicable to design management work. 2 Scope of Responsibilities
2.0.1 Responsible for stipulating the main materials used in the design of equipment and pipelines in engineering projects, and accepting relevant technical consultations.
2.0.2 Responsible for compiling or participating in compiling engineering standards, design regulations and technical specifications that include materials with special requirements (such as corrosion requirements, etc.) and their corresponding welding materials, welding processes, process assessment requirements (or construction methods and technical requirements) and inspection and test methods.
Assist and participate in the relevant technical work of the leading department or leading profession in the process of equipment and material procurement and inspection. 2.0.3
2.0.4 Conduct in-depth investigation and research on new materials and special materials; participate in the relevant coordination or guidance work of scientific research units or steel mills when necessary.
Collect and organize the standards, specifications and materials required for this profession in engineering design; compile, revise and supplement the regulations, manuals and other documents of this profession.
Submit the progress report of this profession to the design manager, estimate and control the man-hour consumption of this profession. Responsible for technical training and knowledge updating of professionals. Complete the design completion report and engineering technology summary of the engineering project. Complete the design return visit work and write the return visit summary when necessary. 227
3Main tasks of each design stage
Preliminary design stage
Participate in the preparation of the preliminary design commencement report. 3.1.1
3.1.2According to the process conditions, determine the materials with special requirements, collect the information related to this project, formulate the basic principles for carrying out the design work, and prepare for the preparation of basic engineering design regulations, engineering material selection regulations and pipeline material identification diagrams.
3.1.3According to the project requirements, cooperate with the professional departments such as containers, heat exchangers, industrial furnaces, pumps, special equipment and pipelines to prepare preliminary design documents, and put forward opinions on the contents of the documents related to materials and welding (or construction). 3.1.4. If the project is a development project and there is no other project to refer to, it should cooperate with the chemical process test to conduct supplementary tests on the materials so that the materials can meet the process requirements and ensure the safety and economic rationality of the use of materials. 3.1.5If necessary, provide technical advice on other professional material issues. If necessary, prepare a material risk memorandum, point out difficult problems, and put forward opinions and suggestions for solving the problems. 3.1.6
3.2 Engineering Design (Construction Drawing Design) Phase Basic Engineering Design
1 Based on process conditions and other technical documents, be responsible for compiling engineering material selection regulations (also known as material memorandum), and draw pipeline material identification diagrams when necessary. Make regulations for the use of materials with special requirements, and list the material categories of each equipment (including pumps).
2 Be responsible for compiling engineering standards or engineering regulations for materials with special requirements and welding (or construction) requirements, test methods and inspections.
3 Be responsible for reviewing the design regulations, inquiry and procurement technical documents and drawings prepared by various equipment and pipeline professionals involving materials and welding. 4 Participate in the technical evaluation of the manufacturer's quotation, participate in the manufacturer coordination meeting (VCM) and the ordering technical documents or minutes formed thereby. 3.2.2 Detailed Engineering Design
1 Be responsible for reviewing the advance confirmation (ACF) drawings and technical documents on related materials provided by the manufacturer, such as welding process assessment and welding process specifications, and put forward review opinions. 2 Responsible for reviewing the final confirmation (CF) drawings and technical documents of related materials provided by the manufacturer after modification, such as welding process assessment and welding process specifications, and final confirmation. 3 When the company designs the equipment manufacturing drawings (construction drawings), it is responsible for reviewing the materials, welding and inspection aspects of various 228
construction drawings designed by various equipment professionals, and providing review opinions. The welding process assessment and welding process specifications are still provided by the manufacturer, and are reviewed and confirmed in accordance with the above clauses 1 and 2. 4 Participate in the welding process assessment work and related inspection work for materials with special requirements. 5 Provide consultation and guidance on materials and welding to various equipment professionals, pipelines and other professionals. 3.3 Construction and commissioning stage
Participate in the welding process assessment and related inspection work for on-site welding of materials with special requirements. Timely deal with technical problems related to materials and welding that occur on site during the construction or commissioning stage. Complete the technical summary and data archiving of this professional engineering project. 229
