This standard is applicable to the determination of the interlaminar tensile strength of glass fiber reinforced plastic laminates, and is also applicable to the evaluation of the effects of different reinforcing materials, resins and their surface treatments, molding methods and aging on the interlaminar tensile strength of such laminates. 2 Reference standards GI31446 General principles for performance test of fiber reinforced plastics 3 Test specimens and their processing 3.1 Test specimens This standard specifies three types of test specimens: type I, type 2 and type 3. The test specimens of type 2 and type 3 use test specimen assemblies, and the test specimens of type 2 and type 3 can be directly connected to the testing machine through a special chuck, see Appendix A (reference). 3.1.1 Generally, type 1 specimens (see Figure 1) should be used. The plate thickness h and diameter d should not be less than 22 μm. Figure 1 Type I test specimen 3.1.2 When the interlaminar tensile strength of the laminate is higher than the bonding strength, use Type 1 or Type I test specimens (see Figures 2 and 3). Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision T99603-28 Implemented on November 1, 1996 . 3.2 Test specimen processing GB/T4944—1996 Figure 2 Type I test specimen Type I test specimen Test specimen processing shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Article 1.1 of GB 1446. 3.3 Test sample selection 1, the number of plates for Type I test specimens is 10. 4 Test specimen assembly and its preparation 4.1 Test specimen assembly 4.1.1 For Type I and I The sample must be made into a sample assembly (see Figure 4) for interlaminar tensile strength determination. 2 WGB/T 4944—1996 阁1 Sample assembly [~Upper and lower gold screen connection block (Xie or Nu) 2. Test turn 3 Adhesive layer 4.1.2 Metal connection block 4.1.2.1 The diameter D of the metal connection block should be 20±0.1mm and the length L of the cylindrical section should not be less than 30mm. 4.1.2.2 The shape and size of the connecting end should be determined according to the testing machine. 4.1.2.3 The bonding surface should be kept flat and free of defects and perpendicular to the axis of the gold screen connection block. 4.2 Sample assembly 4.2.1 The appearance of the sample should comply with GB 1446 Section 2 Chapter 4.2.2 The metal connection block shall comply with the provisions of 4.1.2. 4.2.3 The bonding surface shall be roughened (such as sandpaper polishing) and decontaminated (such as acrylic cleaning). 4.2.4 The bonding surface shall be cleaned and the specimen and the metal connection block shall be fixed with adhesive (epoxy or other adhesive) using a centering device (such as V double-coat) and a bonding pressure of about 0.01 MPa shall be applied. 4.2.5 4.2.6 The adhesive shall be cured. The curing process shall not change the properties of the laminate. 4.2.7 For type I specimens, the part of the specimen that is larger than the gold screen connection shall be removed and polished. 5. Test equipment 5.1 The test environment conditions shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 3 of GB 1446. 5.2 The test equipment shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 5 of GB 1446. 5.3 For type I specimens, the loading intensity is 0.02 h/min<For Type I and Type II specimens, the loading speed should be 2mm/min. 6 Test steps 6.1 Check the alignment of the specimen assembly or Type II specimen. 6.2 Adjust the state of the specimen or specimen assembly according to the provisions of GB 1116. 6-3 Measure the cross section of the Type I specimen or the diameter of the smallest cross section of the Type I and Type II specimens with a measurement accuracy of 0.1 mm. 6.4 Load the specimen assembly or Type II specimen into the fixture of the testing machine, and make sure that its center line coincides with the force axis of the testing machine. 6.5 Apply uniform and continuous cracking to the specimen assembly or Type II specimen at the loading speed specified in 5.3 until it is destroyed. Record the maximum load and the destruction. WGB/T4944-1996 6.6 Specimens that are destroyed outside the 1/3 of the bonding surface or arc segment are invalid. If the valid specimens of the same batch are less than 5h, the test should be repeated. 7 Test results and calculation 7.1 The interlaminar tensile strength is calculated by the following formula: Where: o,——interlaminar tensile strength, MPa, F, maximum load, N; ——specimen cross-sectional area (for type I specimens, the minimum cross-sectional area is taken), mm2. 7.2 The test results are calculated in accordance with Chapter 6 of GB 1446. 8 Test report In addition to the contents specified in Chapter 7 of GB 1446, the following contents should also be included: specimen type; adhesive name, brand and curing conditions + specimen failure conditions, such as cross-layer failure, full-layer failure and delamination failure, etc. If there are invalid specimen assemblies or specimens, the number and reasons should be stated.
