This standard is formulated to guide the scientific, rational and safe use of pesticides, effectively control crop diseases, toxicity and poisoning, prevent pesticide residues in agricultural products from exceeding the prescribed limit standards, protect the environment and ensure human health. This standard is based on the results of agricultural residue tests from 1998 to 1999, in accordance with the Joint Agricultural Development Group (FAO)/World Health Organization (WHO) of my country and the existing maximum pesticide residue limit standards (MRI) of other countries. The application rate (concentration) and application method in this standard shall be determined in accordance with the registration announcement of the actual pesticide. This standard is developed after the Guidelines for the Rational Use of Pesticides (GBB 8321.1-1087), Guidelines for the Rational Use of Table Pesticides (GBB 321.3-1989), Guidelines for the Management of Pesticides (GBB 321.2-5197). Its compilation format (GB 8321.4-1993) and Guidelines for the Rational Use of Pesticides (G/8321.5) are basically consistent with the Guidelines for the Rational Use of Pesticides (G/8321.6). The standard was proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China. The standard is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China. This standard was drafted by 3,000 units including the Pesticide Testing Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture. The main drafters of this standard are Li Hechang and Gao Xiaohui.
