GB/T4897 Particleboard is divided into seven parts: Part 1: Common requirements for all types of particleboards. Part 2: Requirements for alternative general boards used in a dry state. Part 3: Requirements for furniture and interior decoration boards used in a dry state. Part 4: Requirements for structural boards used in a dry state; Part 5: Requirements for structural boards used in a damp state. Part 6: Requirements for reinforced structural boards used in a dry state; Part 7: Requirements for reinforced structural boards used in a damp state. This part is the third part of GB/T4897 Particleboard. This part is not equivalent to the European standard EN312-3.1997 Particleboard Part 3: Requirements for furniture and interior decoration boards used in a dry state. The physical and chemical performance indicators are the same as EN312-3 except for the 2h water absorption thickness expansion rate, screw holding force and formaldehyde emission limit requirements. Dimensional changes, including single-quantity test items are not included in this part. This part replaces the corresponding part of GB/T497-1992 particleboard. Compared with the previous version of the standard (GB/T4897-2003 particleboard), the important technical change of GB/T4897-2003 particleboard is that the original standard is divided into seven parts, among which the requirements for structural boards used in humid conditions and the requirements for reinforced structural boards used in humid conditions are new contents. This part is used for furniture and interior decoration. This part is proposed by the State Forestry Administration.

3.1 Thickness, width, difference between two diagonals, curvature, appearance quality and common indicators shall comply with the requirements of 5.1 to 5.5 in GB/I4897.1-2003.
