GB/T 19608.3--2004
"Special Environmental Conditions Classification Part 3: Plateau" is a research and development project of the National Science and Technology Basic Project "Material Standards for Extreme (Special) Environmental Conditions", which is one of the series of national standards urgently needed for the development and construction of western my country. This part specifies the environmental parameters and severity levels of electromechanical products under plateau environmental conditions. Various types of products can select the applicable items and levels according to the degree of environmental impact they are subject to.
IEC publication 60721-2-1 "Classification of environmental conditions: natural environmental conditions, temperature and humidity" divides the world into 9 climate types, of which my country is included in 6 types. my country is the region with the largest plateau area in the world, with 33% of the country's land area above 200 meters above sea level. Due to the special climatic conditions such as low air pressure, high solar radiation intensity and low temperature in plateau areas, the use of electromechanical products has a great impact. Therefore, electromechanical products used in plateau environmental conditions must have good environmental adaptability and be equipped with corresponding protective functions. This special natural environment has a great impact on materials under normal conditions. Defining the limit values of these special conditions, providing effective detection and test methods, and giving necessary technical measures to materials under special environmental conditions will have a significant impact on the normal use of materials under special environmental conditions.
In the past, my country did not do much research on the performance of some materials and basic equipment in the above-mentioned special natural environment. There was still a gap in the basic research on special conditions, the research on the suitability of materials and equipment for special conditions, the formulation of these basic standards, the determination and classification of limit values, simulation test methods and technical measures to ensure the normal use of materials under extreme conditions. There was a lack of systematic collection and research on data of special conditions such as plateaus, dry heat and deserts, as well as a lack of systematic research on the serious harm caused by special conditions to the supporting infrastructure of major engineering projects. If these problems are not solved, it will directly affect the implementation of major engineering projects in my country under special conditions. The "Material Standards for Extreme (Special) Environmental Conditions" project mainly formulates basic national standards through research on special environmental conditions of plateaus, major engineering basic materials, and electromechanical products. The content involves the standardization system of plateau electromechanical equipment, special environment terms, special environmental conditions classification, general protection type, high altitude artificial simulation test guidelines, metal materials, high-altitude materials, soil electromechanical equipment, and plateau adaptability requirements of construction machinery equipment. The terms and definitions established in GB/T11804 apply to this part. 4 Environmental conditions
4.1 Classification of environmental conditions
The original environmental conditions are divided into 6 types: climatic conditions, special climatic conditions, biological conditions, chemically active substance conditions, mechanically aggressive substance conditions and mechanical conditions,
4.2 Classification of environmental conditions
Each type of environmental condition is composed of a variety of environmental parameters, such as climatic conditions, low temperature, temperature change, solar radiation intensity and other environmental parameters. And each environmental parameter can be divided into several severity levels due to different environments, for example, temperature is divided into -5℃, -10℃, -25℃ and other levels.
4.3 Environmental code
4.3.1 Environmental condition characteristics are expressed by environmental code. The environmental code consists of three parts: product use location, environmental condition type, and environmental condition severity level, which are expressed by numbers or Latin letters. The order of arrangement is as follows: a) use location (expressed in mathematics);
b) environmental condition type (expressed in Latin letters); c) environmental condition severity level (expressed in numbers or numbers and Latin letters). 4.3.2 According to GB/T4798.According to the provisions of 3.2 of GB/T 10-1991, the places where products are used are indicated by the numbers 3 and 4: 3 indicates that the product is used in a fixed place with weather protection (indoors and under a shed); ...·-4 indicates that the product is used in a fixed place with light weather protection (outdoors). 4.3.3 In addition to using Kp to indicate plateau climate conditions, according to the provisions of 3.2 of GB/T 4798.10-1991, the types of environmental conditions are indicated by the following Latin letters:

Guide to Application of Special Environmental Conditions
GB/T 19608.3—2004
B.1. The environmental parameters and severity levels of the six environmental conditions specified in this part are specified in accordance with the corresponding provisions of GB/T 4798.3-1990, GB/T 4798.4-1990 and GB/T 4797.2-1986, combined with the actual conditions of the plateau. B.1.2 The codes of environmental conditions are arranged in order from low to high according to the severity of the environmental parameters. The larger the number, the higher the severity. The higher severity level includes the lower severity level. B.1.3 This part is a classification of commercial source environmental conditions. The plateau environmental conditions that will affect electromechanical products are mainly low air pressure, high solar radiation intensity, low humidity, and some special conditions such as sandstorms, global salt tides, etc. B.1.4 The degree to which various products are affected by environmental conditions is different. For example, internal combustion engines and high-voltage equipment are significantly affected by air pressure, while some products are not significantly affected by air pressure. Therefore, according to the characteristics of each product and the degree of influence of environmental conditions, corresponding environmental conditions and parameters should be selected to select the appropriate product protection type. B.1.5 The minimum temperature in different areas of the plateau varies greatly. The minimum temperature in the area north of the Tanggu Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is relatively low; the minimum temperature in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is relatively high. Therefore, the parameter value of the minimum temperature should be correctly selected according to the product's use area. B.1.6 Climate conditions
Climate conditions of various levels are applicable to:
3Kpl, 4Kpl levels are applicable to places with (or without) climate protection at an altitude of up to 1000m; -3Kp2, 4K.p2 levels are applicable to places with (or without) climate protection at an altitude of up to 20001n; -3Kp3, 4Kp3 levels are applicable to places with (or without) climate protection at an altitude of up to 3000m; -3Kp4, 4Kp4 levels are applicable to places with (or without) climate protection at an altitude of up to 4000m; -3Kp5, 4Kp5 levels are applicable to places with (or without) climate protection at an altitude of up to 5000m. B.1.7 Special climate conditions
Special climate conditions refer to additional heating, wind speed and various water sources caused by production conditions or other reasons. These environmental parameters are not generated by simple climate conditions. Special climate conditions include thermal radiation, ambient air movement, and other water sources except rain. Applicable places are selected according to Table 2.
B.1.8 Biological conditions
Applicable places for biological conditions
3B1 level is applicable to places with climate protection against light biological hazards! 3B2.4B1 level is applicable to places with (or without) air cluster protection where bacteria, fungi grow, rodents and other animals that endanger products (excluding ants);
-33, 432 levels are applicable to places with (or without) climate protection where mold, fungi grow, rodents and other animals that endanger products (including termites) exist.
B.1.9 Chemically active substances conditions
Chemically active substances conditions are suitable for the following places:
3C1, 4C1 levels are suitable for rural and urban areas with less industrial activities and moderate traffic; 3C2, 4(2 levels are suitable for cities with moderately polluted industrial activities or heavy traffic; -·3(3, 40\3 levels are suitable for places with chemical pollution near industrial production: GB/T 19608.3+2004
—3CA, 4C4 levels are suitable for places where chemical pollution of commercial concentrations may occur in industrial production. B. 1. 10 Mechanically active substances conditions
Mechanically active substances conditions Applicable places:
3S1 level is applicable to weather-protected places with dust-proof facilities; 3S2 level is applicable to weather-protected places without dust-proof facilities and not close to sand or dust sources; 4S1 level is applicable to weather-protected places not close to sources; 4S2 level is applicable to weather-protected places close to sand or dust sources; 4S3 level is applicable to weather-protected places in areas with wind and sand or dust in the air due to geographical location. B.1.11 Mechanical environmental conditions
Applicable places for mechanical environmental conditions are shown in Table B.1. Table B.1 Applicable places for mechanical environmental conditions

B.2 Examples of application of special environmental conditions
Applicable places
Places with small probability of vibration and impact or with anti-vibration and anti-shock measures Places where vibration is caused by machinery or moving vehicles, or where impact is caused by blasting, piling, etc. Places where large energy impact is caused by moving or nearby machines, conveyor belts, etc. The product is directly installed on the machine, and the machine itself causes large energy vibration and impact. The general code table of the environment where a certain equipment is used in a certain machine in Golmud, Qinghai (located at the intersection of an industrial production town at an altitude of 2800 Ⅱ) Special environmental conditions! 1. Place of use: In places without climate protection, it is used: - Climate conditions: cold temperature Ⅱ (mark the highest and lowest temperature parameter values); altitude 2800m| |tt||.Special climatic conditions: thermal radiation caused by production conditions, air movement of about 5m/s, and dripping water. ---Biological conditions, including rodents and other animals that endanger products! - Chemical active substance conditions: sulfur dioxide with a maximum value of 1.0mg/ni and hydrogen sulfide gas of 0.5ng/m3; m. - Mechanical active substance conditions: dust and sand of 300mg/m3 - Mechanical environmental conditions: vibration of 4M4 level. Therefore, the general code of environmental conditions in this place of use is: 4Kp3/474/47.7/4132/4(2/4S2/4.M4. Environmental factors that have no influence are not listed. B.3 Basic requirements for product environmental testing
B.3.1 Basic requirements for environmental testing of various electromechanical products and materials used in plateau environmental conditions (including corrosion, biological and mechanical vibration tests) are shown in Table B.2. Specific technical requirements should be clearly specified in the environmental technical requirements of the product. B3.2 The radiation intensity in plateau areas is high, which will have a significant impact on plastic coatings, rubber and other polymer materials used in outdoor environments, and strict test evaluation should be carried out.
B.3.3 Due to the limitations of test conditions, some products cannot be tested in artificial climates, such as the power characteristics and starting performance tests of internal combustion engines under plateau conditions, which can only be tested under natural environmental conditions. Therefore, two types of tests, artificial climate and natural environment, are listed in Table B.2.
