IEC Preface
1) IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is an international standardization organization composed of all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). Its purpose is to promote international cooperation on standardization issues related to electrical and electronic fields. To this end, IEC carries out international standardization activities and publishes international standards. The formulation of these standards is entrusted to technical committees. Any IEC National Committee interested in the technical issue may participate in the formulation work. International, governmental and non-governmental organizations associated with IEC may also participate in this work. IEC and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) work closely together on the basis of an agreement between the two organizations. 2) Formal resolutions or agreements of IEC on technical issues formulated by technical committees in which all national committees with special interest in the issue participate, represent as far as possible the international consensus on the issues involved. 3) These formal resolutions or agreements are published in the form of standards, technical reports or guidelines and are accepted by the National Committees in this sense.
4) In order to achieve international consensus, IEC National Committees agree to use IEC international standards to the greatest extent possible in their national and regional standards. Standards. Differences between IEC standards and corresponding national or regional standards should be clearly marked in the latter. 5) IEC has not established a procedure for the approval mark. IEC is not responsible for any claim that a device complies with an IEC standard.
This standard was prepared by IEC Technical Committee 61 (Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances). This standard constitutes IEC60335-2-16 (4th edition), replacing its 3rd edition. This standard is based on the following documents
61(CO)789
Voting Report||tt| |61(CO)801
Full material on the adoption of this standard can be found in the voting report shown above. This standard shall be used in conjunction with the latest edition of IEC60335-1 and its supplements. This standard is based on the third edition (1991) of IEC60335-1.
This standard supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses of IEC60335-1, thereby converting it into this standard: Particular requirements for food waste disposers.
IEC60335-1 clauses not mentioned in this standard may be used as long as it is reasonable. The places marked with "addition", "modification" or "replacement" in this standard are the corresponding modifications to the relevant clauses of IEC60335-1. Notes

As far as practicality is concerned, this standard covers appliances that are dangerous to the public in the home and that may be encountered by all people. This standard does not usually consider:||tt ||Appliances for use by unsupervised children and infirm persons: - Children use the appliance as a toy.
1: Attention should be drawn to the following facts:
--Appliances used in vehicles, ships and aircraft must have additional requirements; --Appliances used in tropical areas must have additional requirements; --In many countries, additional requirements are prescribed by the national health authorities, those responsible for national labor protection, the national water supply authorities and similar authorities! The installation of food processors may be restricted and not permitted. 2 This standard is not applicable,
--Portable Waste food processors,
- Combustion type waste food processors,
Specially designed waste food processors for industrial and commercial use, - Appliances intended for use in special environments, such as environments with corrosive gases or explosive gases (dust, steam or gas). 2 This chapter in GB4706.1-1998 is applicable except for the following. 2.2.9 Replacement:
Normal operation
The storage box of the appliance is filled with 30 pieces of side length 12mm ± 2Ⅲm cube soft pine wood block. If the storage box of the appliance cannot hold all the wood blocks at the same time, the wood blocks should be added to the storage box as soon as possible during the operation of the appliance. The water temperature is within the range of (10~24)℃, and the flow rate is L/min.
2.101 Foad waste disposers are appliances installed at the outlet of the sink to reduce the particles of waste food and discharge them to the drainage system with water flow. Approved by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision on March 16, 2000 and implemented on March 1, 2001
