Side-pull caliper brake
Apply a brake force of 44.5N on the front and rear brake handles of the vehicle respectively, and the brake shoes can touch the rim. After removing this force, the brake shoes can quickly return to their original position.
4.2 Braking system strength
Should comply with the provisions of Article 5.4.1 of GB3565. 4.3 Braking performance
Should comply with the provisions of Article 5.5 of GB3565.
4.4 Combined strength of brake shoe and brake shoe box
When a static load of 294N in the longitudinal direction and 147N in the transverse direction is applied to the brake shoe, the brake shoe shall not fall off or crack from the brake shoe box. 4.5 Breaking force of steel rope and steel rope joint
QB/T1719--93
The combination of steel rope and steel rope joint shall be firm, and its minimum breaking force is 1500N. 4.6 Fatigue strength of steel rope and steel rope upper joint
After 10,000 fatigue tests, the joint of steel rope and steel rope upper joint assembly shall not fall off and each strand of steel rope shall not break. 4.7 Plating quality
Chrome-plated parts: front and rear brake handles are Class I parts, left and right brake forks, left and right brake arms are Class II parts, and the rest are Class III parts. All galvanized parts are Class II parts.
4.7.1 The appearance of electroplated parts shall comply with the provisions of Article 5.1.1 of QB/T1217. 4.7.2 The surface roughness of plated parts shall comply with the provisions of Article 5.2 of QB/T1217. : 4.7.3 The corrosion resistance of chrome-plated parts shall comply with the provisions of Article 5.4.1 of QB/T-1217. 4.8 Paint quality

5.1 The finished vehicle used in the test of this chapter shall comply with the provisions of GB3566. The testing equipment and instruments used shall comply with the provisions of GB12742.
5.1 Braking system sensitivity performance test
This test shall be carried out on the finished vehicle. After the caliper brake is adjusted to the effective operating position, a 44.5N brake force is applied vertically at 25mm from the end of the brake handle and then observed and inspected. Repeat 5 times. 5.2 Braking system strength test
According to the provisions of Article 21.1 of CB3565.
5.3 Braking performance test
According to the provisions of Chapter 22 of GB3565.
5.4 Brake skin and brake box combined strength test
5.4.1 Install the brake skin and the brake box assembly on the special fixture 1 (the three-sided sealed brake box opening is facing downward), and apply a longitudinal static load at 1/2 of the thickness of the brake skin, as shown in Figure 12. Then install the brake skin and the brake box assembly on the fixture II, and apply a transverse static load at 1/2 of the thickness of the brake skin, as shown in Figure 13. The full load time each time does not exceed 5s. 5.4.2 The main dimensions of the fixture I, the pressure head I, the fixture II, and the pressure head II are shown in Figures 12 and 13. 5.5 Breaking force test of steel rope and steel rope joint
As shown in Figure 14, fix the steel rope and steel rope joint assembly on the special fixture and test it on the tensile testing machine. The tensile speed is not more than 20mm/min.
5.6 Fatigue strength test of steel rope and steel rope joint As shown in Figure 15, install the steel rope and steel rope joint assembly on the fatigue testing machine, hang a weight of 15kg, and test at 25mm from the end of the gate handle, with a stroke of 25mm and 60 times/min. During the test, it is allowed to apply lubricant on the junction of the gate handle and the steel rope and on the steel rope. 55-
