1 Overview 1.1 Introduction National Standard of the People's Republic of China Data processing \ -VocabularySeetion19:Analog computing UDC 681.3:001.4 GB5271.19-86 This vocabulary consists of about twenty parts. This part describes the common concepts and definitions of data processing related to analog and mixed operations. These definitions describe the concepts of analog and mixed operators, function generators, converters and the working methods of the above components. This part uses the term "functional component" to describe the function performed by a certain mechanism. If the above function can be performed by a device in any special case, the term "equipment" is considered to be the same as the term functional component. This part of this vocabulary is equivalent to the international standard ISO2382/19-1980 "Data processing vocabulary--Part 19: Analog computing". 1.2 Scope This vocabulary selects terms and concise definitions of some concepts in the field of data processing, and clarifies the relationship between different concepts to facilitate domestic and international exchanges. The vocabulary covers all major aspects of data processing, including the main processing processes and types of equipment used, data representation, data organization, data description, computer programming and operation, external devices, data communication and other special applications. 1.3 Applicable scope This standard applies to the design, production, use, maintenance, management, scientific research, teaching and publishing of various fields related to electronic computers and information processing. 2 Principles and rules to be followed The following rules have been described in detail in GB5271.1-85 "Data Processing Vocabulary Part 01 Basic Terms". They are also applicable to this part and will not be repeated here. Only the titles of each item are listed as follows: 2.1 Definition of terms; Composition of terms: Classification of terms; Selection of terms and terms in definitions; Polysemic terms; Abbreviations; Use of parentheses; Use of square brackets; Use of bold terms and asterisks in definitions: 2.10 Spelling; Compilation of index tables. It can achieve specific operations or functions by connecting external components. 19.01.03 adder summer analog adder analog adder A functional unit whose output analog variable is equal to the sum or weighted sum of two or more input analog variables. 19.01.04 inverter inverter A functional unit whose output analog variable is equal to the input analog variable in absolute value but opposite in sign. coefficient unit coefficient unit A functional unit whose output analog variable is equal to the input analog variable multiplied by a constant. analog multiplier anolog multiplier A functional unit whose output analog variable is proportional to the product of two input analog variables. NOTE: This term may also be applied to a unit that is capable of performing multiple multiplications, such as a multiplier. Quarter-squares multiplier quarter- squares multiplier An analog multiplier based on the identity: αy=(+y)-(-)/4 This multiplier contains several inverters, several analog adders, and several square-law function generators. 19.01.08 Analog divider analog divider A functional unit that outputs an analog variable that is proportional to the quotient of its input analog variable. Integrator integrator A functional unit that outputs an analog variable that is equal to the integral of the input analog variable over time. Note: The integral variable of some integrators may be a non-time variable. 19.01.10Summing integrator A functional unit whose output analog variable is equal to the integral of the weighted sum of the input analog variables over time, or the integral of another input analog variable. Function generator function generator GB 5271.19--86 A functional unit whose output analog variable is equal to a function of the input analog variables. 19.01.12 Fixed function generator fixed function generator A function generator whose function cannot be changed arbitrarily by the user. Digital-to-analog converter DAC (abbreviation) A functional unit that converts data from digital representation to analog representation. 19.01.20 Track and hold unit Track and store unit Track and store unit A functional unit whose output analog variable is either equal to the input analog variable or to the sampled value of this variable selected by an external Boolean signal. Note: When tracking, the unit tracks the input analog variable. When holding, it holds the value of the input analog variable at the moment of switching. 19.02 Potentiometer set mode Potentiometer set mode A preparatory state of an analog computer, in which the coefficients of the question are set. 19.02.02 Static test mode static test modeWww.bzxZ.net A preparatory state of the analog computer, in which some special initial conditions are set to check whether all computing components (except integrators) operate normally and whether the connections are correct. 276 Initial condition mode initial condition mode Reset mode reset imode GB5271.19-86 A state of operation of a simulated computer in which initial conditions are set but the integrator is not yet operational. compute mode compute mode operate mode A state of operation of a simulated computer in the process of solving a problem. 19.02.05 hold mode hold mode A state of operation of a simulated computer in which integration has ceased and in which all variables retain the values they had when this state was entered. 19.02.06 time scale factor time scale factor A number used as a multiplier when converting the real time of a problem into computer time. real-time operation (in analog computing) real-time operation (in analog computing)A simulation of the operation of a computer in the compute mode when the time scale factor is 1. repetitive operation repetitive operation Automatically repeating an operation to find a solution to a system of equations with a fixed combination of initial conditions and other parameters. Note: Iterative operation is often used to display a relatively stable solution. It can also be used to manually adjust one or more parameters or select the best value. Iterative operation Automatic sequential operation automatic sequential operation Repeat the same algorithm to find the solution of a system of equations with a series of successive initial conditions or other parameter combinations. And auxiliary calculations based on a predetermined set of iterative rules are used to select each successive combination.
