Appendix A of this standard is an informative appendix
This standard is proposed by China Electrical Equipment Industry Association. Foreword
This standard is under the jurisdiction of Beijing Electrical Technology and Economic Research Institute of Machinery Industry. This standard was drafted by Guangzhou Electric Science Research Institute and participated in by Beijing Electrical and Electronic Technology and Economic Research Institute. Main drafters of this standard: Chen Ling, Liu Kuifang, Guo Lika Introduction GB/T 19607-2004 "Special Environmental Conditions Protection Types and Codes" is a national science and technology basic work project "Material Standards for Extreme (Special) Environmental Conditions", which is one of the series of national standards urgently needed for the development and construction of western my country. This standard specifies the special environmental protection types and codes of products, and meets the environmental adaptability requirements of a wide range with as few protection types as possible. 1EC publication 60721-2.1 "Environmental Conditions Classification: Natural Environmental Conditions Temperature and Humidity" divides the world into 9 types of carbon, 6 of which exist in my country, with special natural environments. The main one is plateau. my country's plateau has special natural environment and climatic conditions, with 33% of the area above 20 degrees above sea level. At the same time, high-explosive explosions are accompanied by special phenomena such as low temperature, high temperature, and extremely large temperature difference sandstorms, which have a great impact on materials under normal conditions. Defining the limits of these special conditions, providing effective detection and test methods, and giving necessary technical measures to materials under special environmental conditions will have a significant impact on the normal use of materials under special environmental conditions. In the past, my country did not conduct much research on the performance of these materials and basic equipment in high-altitude environments. There was a lack of basic research on special conditions, research on the adaptability of materials and equipment to special conditions, and the formulation of these basic standards, including the determination and classification of condition limits, simulation test methods, and technical measures to ensure the normal use of materials under extreme conditions. There was a lack of systematic collection and research on data on special conditions such as plateaus, heat and deserts, as well as a lack of systematic research on the serious dangers caused by special conditions to the supporting infrastructure of major engineering projects. If these problems are not solved, it will directly affect the implementation of major engineering projects in my country under special conditions. The project of "Material Standards for Extreme (Special) Environmental Conditions" mainly formulates basic national standards through research on special environmental conditions in the plateau, major engineering basic materials, and electromechanical products. The content involves the standard system of electromechanical equipment in the plateau, special environmental requirements, classification of special environmental conditions, dual general principles for protection, guidelines for simulation tests for people at high altitudes, metal materials, polymer materials, and plateau adaptability requirements for major electromechanical equipment and engineering machinery equipment. A total of 25 national standards have been completed or are in progress under the project: (1) Terminology of special environmental conditions (under development) (2) "Classification of Special Environmental Conditions in Plateau" (three releases) (3) "Classification of Special Environmental Conditions in Dry Heat" (released) (4) "Classification of Special Environmental Conditions in Dry Heat Sand Film" (released) (5) "Special Environmental Conditions Protection Types and Codes" (released) (6) "Environmental Test Methods for Special Environmental Conditions Part 1: General Principles" (approved) (7) "Environmental Test Methods for Special Environmental Conditions Part 2: Artificial Simulation (8) "Special Environmental Conditions

The terms and definitions established in GB/T11804 and the following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Protection type of special environmental condition protectiontype of special environmental condition The type of product designed and manufactured by taking appropriate technical measures to adapt the product to certain special environmental conditions. 4 Classification and code of protection types for special environmental conditions 4.1 Classification of protection types
According to the climate characteristics of my country (see Figure 1) and the use, the special environmental conditions protection types of products are divided into six types: 1. Tropical protection type;
Cold protection type:
2. Plateau protection type:
3. Industrial corrosion protection type;
Mine protection type:
4.2.1 General
The codes of protection types for special environmental conditions are all expressed in capital Latin letters. The numbers after the letters indicate the severity level of the protection type. The larger the number, the more severe the level. The protection type code of the product indicates that the product meets its corresponding technical requirements. 4.2.2 Tropical protection types
Tropical protection types are divided into humid heat type, dry heat type, dry and wet heat combined type and dry and hot desert type, which are represented by the following codes: TH represents humid heat type, which is applicable to "humid heat", "sub-humid heat\climate zones and places where the high environmental climate is equivalent to humid heat climate zones; TA represents sub-heat type, which is applicable to the dry tropical areas in northwest my country and areas where local high temperatures may occur; T represents sub-humid heat combined type, which is applicable to sub-heat and humid heat areas; TS represents dry heat desert type, which is applicable to dry heat desert areas. High source protection types are divided according to the thin pull height, which are represented by the following codes: G2 represents suitable for areas with a maximum altitude of 2,000 m; ~3 represents suitable for areas with a maximum altitude of 3,000 m; -G4 represents suitable for areas with a maximum altitude of 4,000 m; -(5 represents suitable for areas with a maximum altitude of 50,001. 4.2.5 Industrial abrasion protection type
GB/T 19607—2004
Industrial corrosion protection types are divided into anti-light corrosion type, anti-medium corrosion type and anti-strong corrosion type, which are represented by the following codes:: F0 represents (indoor) anti-light corrosion type, applicable to chemically active substances under conditions of 3C2; WFO represents (outdoor) anti-light corrosion type, applicable to chemically active substances under conditions of 4C2; -F1 represents (indoor) anti-medium corrosion type, applicable to chemically active substances under conditions of 3C3; -WF1 represents (outdoor) anti-corrosion type, applicable to chemically active substances under conditions of 4C3; -F2 represents (indoor) anti-corrosion type, applicable to chemically active substances under conditions of 3C.GB/T 19607—2004
--WF2 means (outdoor) strong corrosion resistance type, suitable for chemical active material conditions 4C4 level. Note 1: In industrial corrosion sites (referring to chemical plants, steel mills, power plants, etc.), the product is mainly affected by chemical corrosion media, high temperature, high humidity, water, dust and other factors. Outdoor products may be affected by environmental factors such as solar radiation, snow, etc. Note 2: The environmental condition parameters of 3C2, 4C2, 3G3, 4C3, 3C4, 4C4 can be found in GB/1 4798.3--1990 and GB/T 4798.4—19904.2.6 Mine protection types
Mine protection types are divided into mine type and open-pit type, which are represented by the following codes: K represents mine type, which is applicable to mines,
-WK represents open-pit type, which is applicable to open-pit mines (should be used in combination with climatic conditions). 4.2.7 Ship protection types
Ship protection types are represented by the following codes: H represents ship type, which is applicable to places on ships or offshore facilities, ports, docks, etc. with climate protection: W)1 represents outdoor ship type, which is applicable to places on dry ships or offshore facilities, ports, docks, etc. without climate protection. 4.3 Combination of product protection types
When the protection type of a product is composed of multiple protection types, the codes are arranged in the following order: a) Tropical (or cold) protection type code: 1) Industrial corrosion protection type code:
2) Plateau protection type code:
d) Other protection type codes
For the combination of protection types of outdoor products, it is only necessary to use W in the front code to indicate outdoor use, and W does not need to be repeated. Example 1: Products with mild corrosion resistance for outdoor use in cold and temperate climate zones and applicable to areas with a maximum altitude of 400 m are coded as follows: HLiWFOG4
Example 2: Products with severe corrosion resistance for open-pit mines in humid and hot climate zones are coded as follows: THwF2K

Determine the protection type of a product should consider the following factors: a) Indoor or outdoor use;
The climate zone to which the use area belongs:
The altitude of the use area:
d) The severity of industrial corrosion;
c) Whether it is used in mining (mine or open-pit mine)
f) Whether it is used on ships;
) The degree to which the product is affected by the above factors. A, 2.2 Simplified concept
Requirement, the enclosure protection level should reach 1P55
The use environment conditions of basic products should have a wider range of relevant environmental technical requirements, so as to reduce the protection types of products and avoid manufacturing complexity. For example, if the low temperature of the use environment conditions has been specified as 25℃, there is no need to further divide the cold HLI type products. Products that have already included a certain harsh level can be classified into more stringent protection types: for example, when the altitude of the use environment conditions of the basic products has been specified as a maximum of 2000m, the special environmental protection type should specify the harsh level technical requirements of the altitude above 2000m.
