National Standard of the People's Republic of China Strength test of fifth wheel coupling pins for motor vehicles-Motor vehicles-Fifth wheel coupling pins-Strength test This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO8716 "Commercial road vehicles-1 Subject content and scope of application GB/T15088-94 -Final wheel coupling pins-Strength test" (1988 edition). This standard specifies the strength requirements and test methods for the fifth wheel coupling pins (hereinafter referred to as the fifth wheel coupling pins) of semitrailers. This standard is applicable to the fifth wheel coupling pins of semitrailers that meet the requirements of GB4606 and GB4607. 2 Referenced standards GB4606 Main dimensions, installation and interchangeability of fifth wheel coupling pins for road vehicles semitrailer saddles GB4607 Main dimensions, installation and interchangeability of fifth wheel coupling pins for road vehicles semitrailer saddles 3 Strength requirements After completing the tests specified in this standard, the fifth wheel coupling pins shall not be permanently deformed, cracked or broken. 4 Test method 4.1 General test requirementswwW.bzxz.Net 4.1.1 The strength test is a dynamic test carried out on a test bench. 4.1.2 The installation and positioning method of the towing pin on the test bench shall be consistent with the installation and positioning method of the towing pin on the semitrailer specified in the manufacturer's assembly instructions. 4.1.3 The towing pin shall be tested separately with the locking device specified in 4.3.2, rather than being tested together with the fifth wheel. 4.2 Determination of the horizontal load on the towing pin The horizontal load is an equivalent value determined based on the calculation results of the longitudinal force generated between the tractor and the semitrailer, and is calculated as follows: Where: F—horizontal load, kN; m+m? m3 - maximum total mass of the tractor, including m3, t; m2- maximum total mass of the semitrailer, t, m3- maximum vertical load of the tractor from the semitrailer, t; g- acceleration of gravity, g = 9.80665m/s2. 4.3 Test steps 4.3.1 Install the traction pin on the test bench according to the requirements of 4.1.2. 4.3.2 Apply a sinusoidal alternating load F. as shown in Figure 1, F. varies between +0.6F and -0.6F, and the force is applied to the traction pin through a gapless locking device (similar to the locking device of the traction seat). The loading frequency shall not be greater than 30Hz and shall not coincide with the natural frequency of the system. 4.3.3 Load 2×106 cycles. 4.3.4 After the test according to the above steps, check whether the traction pin has permanent deformation, cracks and fractures.
