GB/T 4122.1 Packaging terms Part 1: Basics 3 Terms and definitions The terms and definitions established in GB/T 4122.1 and the following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1 excessivepackage Excessive packaging Packaging that exceeds the appropriate packaging function requirements and whose packaging void ratio, packaging layers, and packaging costs exceed the necessary level. 3.2 originalpackage Original packaging Packaging that is in direct contact with the product. Number of packaging layers packagelayersbZxz.net Number of packaging layers that completely wrap the product. Note: Complete wrapping refers to the packaging method that prevents the product from falling out. 3.4 Interspace ratio of packaging The ratio of the unnecessary space volume in the commodity sales packaging to the volume of the commodity sales packaging. 4 Requirements 4.1 Basic requirements 4.1.1 The packaging design should be scientific and reasonable. On the premise of meeting the normal packaging function requirements, the packaging materials, structure and cost should be adapted to the quality and specifications of the contents, effectively utilize resources and reduce the amount of packaging materials. 4.1.2 Appropriate packaging materials should be selected according to the characteristics and quality of food and cosmetics. The packaging should be made of a single material or packaging materials that are easy to separate. The use of recyclable and reusable packaging materials is encouraged. 4.1.3 The packaging structure and function should be reasonably simplified. It is not advisable to use cumbersome forms or complex structures. Try to avoid packaging with too many layers, too large gaps, and too high costs. 4.1.4 The full life cycle cost of the packaging should be considered, and effective measures should be taken to control the direct cost of the packaging. The impact on the environment and the related costs of packaging recycling and disposal should be considered. 1 GB23350—2009 For packaging that can be used for other functions after completing its packaging function, its economy and practicality should be fully considered to avoid increasing packaging costs in pursuit of other functions. 4.2 Limit requirements 4.2.1 The void ratio and number of packaging layers of food and cosmetics packaging should comply with the requirements of Table 1. Table 1 Commodity categories Alcoholic beverages Health foods Cosmetics Other foods Packaging void ratio ≤60% ≤50% Limited indicators Number of packaging layers 3 layers and below 3 layers and below 2 layers and below 3 layers and below 3 layers and below 3 layers and below Note: When the net content of all individual items of the product is not more than 30mL or 30g, the packaging void ratio should not exceed 75%; when the net content of all individual items of the product is more than 30mL or 30g, but not more than 50mL or 50g, the packaging void ratio should not exceed 60%. Grain refers to raw grain and its primary processed products. The sum of all packaging costs except the initial packaging should not exceed 20% of the sales price of the commodity. Limit indicator calculation method The calculation method of packaging void ratio is shown in Appendix A. 5.2 The calculation method of packaging layers is shown in Appendix B The calculation method of packaging cost to sales price ratio is shown in Appendix C. A.1 The calculation of packaging void ratio is shown in formula (A, 1): Appendix A (Normative Appendix) Calculation method of packaging void ratio X - [V.-(V+k)VI ×100% Where: Packaging void ratio: GB23350-—2009 V, one-to-one commodity sales packaging volume [refers to the minimum external rectangular volume of the commodity sales packaging (excluding handles, fasteners, ropes and other accessories)], in cubic millimeters (mm); The total volume of the initial packaging of the commodity, that is, the sum of the initial packaging volumes of each commodity. The initial packaging volume of the commodity refers to the initial V of the commodity. The minimum external rectangular volume of the packaging itself, in cubic millimeters (mm): k-one commodity necessary space coefficient. The necessary space volume of the commodity refers to the space required to protect or fix the initial packaging of each product. In this standard, the value of k is 0.6. Note: When calculating the volume of the sales package and the volume of the initial package of the commodity, the measurement accuracy of the side length of the smallest circumscribed cube is millimeters. A, 2 If the sales package of a commodity contains two or more commodities, the volume of the commodity listed on the label or its initial package volume (if the commodity also has an initial package) shall be included in the total volume of the initial package of the commodity. In order to realize the normal function of the commodity, the volume of additional items that need to be sold together with the commodity shall be included in the total volume of the initial package of the commodity, such as the specific opening tools, commodity manuals or other auxiliary items of the commodity. A3 If there are two or more categories of commodities in the sales package of the commodity, and two or more commodities have packaging void ratio requirements, the commodity packaging void ratio shall be calculated based on the commodity listed on the label; if there are packaging void ratio requirements for two or more commodities listed on the label, the larger packaging void ratio shall be used for calculation. Appendix B (Normative Appendix) Method for calculating the number of packaging layers B.1 The packaging that completely wraps the specified commodity is considered as one layer. B.2 The initial packaging inside the sales packaging is calculated as the 0th layer, the fully wrapped packaging that touches the initial packaging is the 1st layer, and so on. The outermost layer of the sales packaging is the Nth layer, where N is the number of layers of packaging. B.3 If the same sales package contains commodities with different numbers of packaging layers, only the number of packaging layers of commodities with limited sales packaging layers shall be calculated. The number of packaging layers of commodities with limited sales packaging layers shall be calculated separately, and the number of packaging layers of the commodities shall be determined whether they meet the requirements according to the limited sales packaging layers. Appendix C (Normative Appendix) Calculation method of packaging cost and sales price ratio C.1 The calculation of packaging cost and product sales price ratio is shown in formula (C.1): ×100% . (C1) CB23350—2009 Where: Y--ratio of packaging cost and product sales price; C packaging cost; P--product sales price. C.2 Packaging cost accounting method C.2.1 The calculation of packaging cost shall be determined from the perspective of the commodity manufacturer. C.2.2 Packaging cost is the sum of all packaging costs from the 1st layer to the Nth layer. C.3 Sales price calculation method The sales price of goods should be calculated based on the contract sales price signed between the manufacturer and the seller, or the normal market sales price of the goods.
