The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Expandable baton expandable baton
A retractable police baton that can be used for non-lethal mechanical strikes. 4 Product classification and naming
4.1 Product classification
According to the structural form, it is divided into rigid and elastic, and according to the base material, it is divided into metal and non-metal telescopic batons. 4.2 Product naming
The product naming consists of the product name code (the Chinese pinyin capital letters SSG of telescopic baton), the product unfolded length (unit: mm), and the product classification code (A for rigidity, B for elasticity, C for metal, and D for non-metal). 000
Marking example:
-Product material classification code
Product structure classification code
Product unfolded length
Product name code
For example, a metal rigid telescopic baton with a length of 500mm is marked as SSG500-A-C5. Requirements
5.1 Appearance
The product appearance is smooth without obvious bends, scratches, burrs and other defects. GA/T429—2003
5.2 Flexibility
When the product droops naturally, it will not unfold automatically; when it is fully unfolded by force, it will neither be out of joint nor automatically retract; it can fully retract after force is applied. The product can stably repeat the cycle 1000 times. 5.3 Unfolded length
The unfolded length of the product is 300mm~700mm. 5.4 Corrosion resistance
5.4.1 Metal telescopic baton
5.4.1.1 The corrosion resistance level should be no less than level 6, and the spray cycle is 8h. 5.4.1.2 The specific provisions of the simplified 10-level grading method, that is, the relationship between the rust points and the corrosion level in the dm2 assessment area (the corrosion resistance level is 10 as the best and 0 as the worst) are shown in Table 1. Table 1
Rust point number
128~256
5.4.2 Non-metal telescopic baton paint film
Corrosion resistance level
At room temperature, it is immersed in an aqueous solution containing 3% sodium chloride for 72 hours, without bubbling, wrinkling, falling off, discoloration and loss of gloss. 5.5 Tensile strength
5.5.1 Metal telescopic baton
Rigid batons are greater than 1000N, and elastic batons are greater than 500N. 5.5.2 Non-metallic telescopic baton
Non-metallic rigid baton is greater than 500N.
5.6 Deformation
5.6.1 Metal rigid baton is hung with a weight of 10kg, and the deformation is less than 3mm. Metal elastic baton is bent 180° 100 times, and the allowable deformation is less than 5mm. The telescopic performance of the sample remains unchanged after the test. 5.6.2 Non-metallic rigid baton is hung with a weight of 10kg, and the deformation is less than 5mm. The telescopic performance of the sample remains unchanged after the test. 5.7 Service life
The number of times of impact resistance is greater than 1000 times. The telescopic performance of the sample remains unchanged after the test. The deformation of the thinnest part △L is not greater than 5mm. 6 Test method
Appearance inspection
Visual inspection of appearance.
6. 2 Retractability test
GA/T 429—2003
Let the sample hang naturally and fix the handle. Hang a 10kg weight at the end of the sample and keep it relatively still. Release the weight instantly to make it free fall and observe whether the sample is fully unfolded; fully unfold the sample and hold the handle at the bottom. Hang a 20kg magnetic weight 1m above the sample and keep it relatively still. Release the weight instantly to make it free fall and observe whether the sample is fully retracted. 6.3 Expanded length inspectionwwW.bzxz.Net
Measure with a ruler.
6.4 Corrosion resistance
6.4.1 Metal telescopic baton
6.4.1.1 Use the neutral salt spray test (NSS) method for corrosion resistance test. 6.4.1.2 The temperature in the box is 35℃±2℃ and the humidity is greater than 95%. 6.4.1.3 Dissolve 50g ± 5g of chemically pure sodium chloride in 1L of distilled water. 6.4.1.4 The pH value of the solution can be adjusted to a range of 6 to 7 with chemically pure hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide and measured with a pH meter. 6.4.1.5 When the temperature in the chamber reaches the test temperature, place a sample. Continuous spraying shall not be interrupted within the specified period. 6.4.1.6 After the test, remove the sample from the salt spray chamber and gently rinse it with running cold water (below 35°C) or use a sponge to remove surface salt deposits; then immediately dry it at 80°C to 100°C for 30 minutes, and check the degree of corrosion in time. 6.4.2 Non-metallic telescopic baton
Use distilled water to prepare a 3% (mass) sodium chloride solution. After immersing the sample in a sodium chloride aqueous solution at a temperature of 25°C ± 1°C for 72 hours, take out the sample, wash off the salt traces with tap water, and observe the changes in the paint film. 6.5 Tensile strength test
Fully unfold the sample, fix it horizontally on the test seat, fix the tension traction head at the two ends of the sample, and use a tensile testing machine to test.
6.6 Deformation test
6.6.1 Deformation test of rigid baton
Fully unfold the sample, fix the handle horizontally, hang a 10kg weight at 10mm from the front end, test for 2 minutes, remove the weight, measure the deformation and check the elasticity of the sample. 6.6.2 Deformation test of elastic baton
Fully unfold the sample, fix the handle horizontally, bend the front end backward 180°, repeat 100 times, measure the deformation and check the elasticity of the sample.
6.7 Service life test
Fix the sample to be tested on a special impact resistance life test bench for simulation test. The impacted surface is parallel to the 5cm thick rubber pad. The impact part is located at the first node of the front end (except the end cap). Each time the impact is made, the linear speed is 5m/s±0.5m/s. When it reaches 1000 times, the sample is tested for elasticity and the deformation of the thinnest part is measured. 7 Inspection rules
7.1 Inspection classification
Product inspection is divided into factory inspection and type inspection. 7.2 Factory inspection
7.2.1 Products can only be shipped after being inspected and qualified by the quality inspection department. 7.2.2 The test items, technical requirements and test methods for factory inspection are shown in Table 2. 3
GA/T429—2003
7.3 Type inspection

Technical requirements
Type inspection should be carried out in any of the following situations: a) When the design or production of new products is finalized; b) When old products are transferred to other factories for production;
When there are major changes in materials, structures and production processes; when production is resumed after suspension for more than one year; d)

7.4.1 Batching rules
Factory inspection
Telescopic batons made from the same batch of raw materials, the same type of structure and the same production process are considered as one inspection batch. 7.4.2 Sampling rules
a) The number of samples for type inspection is 4; b) During factory inspection, the appearance and elasticity of the product should be fully inspected. 7.5 Determination rules
a) Determine according to the items, technical requirements and test methods specified in Table 2; b)
If all the performances of all samples are qualified, the batch of products is determined to be qualified; if the service life performance index is unqualified, the batch of products is determined to be unqualified, c
Type inspection
If other individual performance indicators are unqualified, double sampling and re-inspection are allowed. If the double re-inspection is qualified, the batch of products is determined to be qualified, d)
Otherwise, it will be treated as an unqualified batch.
8 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage
