1 Scope
GB/T 40034 specifies the basic requirements, test methods and test report formats for authenticity verification of leaf area index remote sensing products.
GB/T 40034 is applicable to authenticity verification of leaf area index remote sensing products.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 36296-2018 and GB/T 39468-2020 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Leaf area indexleaf area index;LAI
One-half of the total area of leaves per unit projection area on the ground.
3.2
Effective leaf area indexeffective leaf area index
The leaf area index equal to the observed porosity value under the condition of random leaf distribution.
Note: It can be obtained indirectly through optical instrument measurement or remote sensing inversion.
3.3
Clumping index
Describes the spatial distribution pattern of random, regular and clustered distribution of leaves in the canopy in nature.
3.4
Elementary sampling unit; ESU
A regional unit for measuring leaf area index arranged in the ground observation field.
3.5
Wireless sensor networks; WSN
A network formed by organizing and combining sensor nodes in a free style through wireless communication technology.
This standard specifies the basic requirements, inspection methods and inspection report format for authenticity inspection of leaf area index remote sensing products.
