The contents of this revision include: ① The specific operation part of the instrument; ② The calculation formula part; ③ The error expression part of the quality requirements; ① The above three standards are combined. The revised standard covers three surface and interfacial tension determination methods. From the date of entry into force, this standard replaces SY/T5370-91, SY/T5545-92 and SY/T5617-93. The appendix A, appendix C, appendix D), appendix E, appendix F, and appendix G of this standard are all appendices of the standard. This standard is proposed by China National Petroleum Corporation. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Oil and Gas Field Development Professional Standardization Committee. The drafting unit of this standard: Exploration and Development Research Institute of Xinjiang Petroleum Administration Bureau. The main drafters of this standard are Nie Xiaobin, Li Xingong, Wu Qiaohui, and Jiang Xiulin 1 Scope Standard of the People's Republic of China for the petroleum and natural gas industry Determination method of surface and interfacial tension SY/T5370-1999 Replaces SY/T 5370-91 SY/T 554592 The method for measurement of surface tension & interfacial tension SY/T 5617-93 This standard specifies the methods for measuring surface and interfacial tension by hanging plate method, hanging drop method and spinning drop method. The hanging plate method is applicable to the surface tension of general liquids or the interfacial tension between two phases of fluids with a density difference of less than 0.4g/cm3, and its effective measurement range is 5 to 100mN/m. The hanging drop method is suitable for the determination of interfacial tension between immiscible liquid-liquid or liquid-gas phases, and its effective measuring range is 10-1·102mN/m The spinning drop method is suitable for the determination of low interfacial tension between two phases of liquid with the high density phase being transparent, and its effective measuring range is 1~10-5mN/ms 2Instruments and apparatuswww.bzxz.net Instruments and apparatus for hanging plate method a) Surface tension meter: CBVP-A3 or similar instrument: b) Constant temperature circulating water bath: temperature control accuracy is =1.0; c) Density meter: accuracy is ±0.001g/cn; d) Surface tension meter, 50mL small beaker; e) Dryer. 2.2 Apparatus and instruments for hanging drop method a) Hanging drop surface and interfacial tension meter; b) Quartz cell; c) Sample receiver: d) Density meter: accuracy is ±0.001g/cm; e) Plotter; ) Micrometer. 2.3 Spinning drop method instruments and apparatus III a) Interfacial tension meter (Texas-500, Beijing xzD-Ⅲ, Site04 or similar products): b) Density meter: accuracy ±0.001g/crm3: c) Refractometer: accuracy ±0.0001; d) Micro syringe: 0.01, 1ml- 3 Determination steps 3.1 Coupon method to determine surface and interfacial tension 3.1.1 Surface tension determination 3.1.1.1 Soak the test coupon in chromic acid solution for more than 12 hours, rinse with distilled water and dry thoroughly. 3.1.1.2 Place the glass coupon lightly on the small hook, connect to the surface tension meter, and preheat for 15 minutes. Approved by the State Administration of Petroleum and Chemical Industry on May 17, 1999, and implemented on December 1, 1999 SY/T5370—1999 3.1.1.3 Use the coarse and fine zero adjustment knobs to adjust the zero value until the instrument displays +0.0 or -0.0 alternately. 3.1.1.4 Then place the 400mg base weight on the small hook and adjust the instrument calibration potentiometer so that the instrument displays 82.5. 3.1.1.5 Repeat the operations of 3.1.1.3 and 3.1.1.4 until the instrument is stable (that is, when the small hook is hung with a glass hanging piece, the instrument displays +0.0 or -0.0. When the small hook is hung with a 400mg weight and a glass hanging piece: the instrument displays 82.5). The initial value of the hanging piece is zero. 3.1.1.6 Pour the sample to be tested into the surface blood, so that the height of the liquid level in the surface blood is not less than 5mm, then put the surface blood containing the sample into the instrument test stand, and choose whether to be afraid of temperature according to the measurement requirements. If constant temperature is required, keep the constant temperature at the measurement temperature for 20rin: hang the zero-adjusted hanging piece on the small hook, start the instrument automatic gear for testing, when the hanging piece contacts the liquid surface, the motor will stop automatically, read the surface tension test value on the display window (the sample that is not easy to volatilize should wait for the instrument to stabilize and the sample that is easy to volatilize should be read in time), then do parallel testing, and use a density meter to measure the liquid density data at the same time, and record the test liquid temperature. 3.1.2 Determination of interfacial tension 3.1,2.1 The cleaning of the hanging piece and the adjustment of the zero initial value are the same as 3.1.1.1~3.1.1.5. 3.1.2.2 Pour the high-density phase liquid into a small beaker, and the liquid height is about 10mm. Then pour the low-density phase liquid gently along the wall of the beaker, and the height of the liquid poured into the beaker is about 30mm. 3.1.2.3 Place the beaker containing the test sample in the heat-insulating glass cylinder on the instrument support platform and swirl it for 20 minutes. Hang the coupon adjusted to zero according to 3.1.2.1, start the instrument and raise the instrument support platform in the dynamic gear. When the coupon is completely immersed in the low-density phase liquid, stop the machine and adjust the instrument display to zero. Note that the coupon cannot touch the high-density phase roller in the beaker. 3.1.2.4 Take out the column, clean it and dry it. 3.1.2.5 Take another small beaker and pour the high-density phase liquid into it. Wet the lower end of the coupon cleaned according to 3.1.2.4 by about 5mm. Use filter paper to absorb the residual liquid on the lower end of the coupon, then hang the coupon back on the instrument, turn on the manual gear of the instrument, and let the coupon sink into the low-density phase again. No longer adjust to zero. 3.1.2.6 Start the instrument in automatic mode and begin the test. When the coupon in the low-density phase liquid contacts the high-density phase, the instrument motor will stop immediately. Wait until the instrument reading is stable and read the interfacial tension test value. Then do the test, measure the density data of the low-density phase liquid and the high-density phase liquid at the same time, and record the temperature of the test liquid. 3.1.3 Correction calculation of surface and interfacial tension values Correction calculation of surface tension: a,= a,'ph Correction formula of interfacial tension: ag = a'g.Apg Formula: α——surface tension, mN/ms interfacial tension, mN/m; . Surface tension test value, mN/m; c—interfacial tension test value, mN/m: Pb——density fatigue coefficient [see Appendix^ (Standard Appendix) Table Al]; Ak——correction coefficient of density difference of two-phase fluid [now Appendix A (Standard Appendix) Table A2]. 3.1.4 Quality requirements The absolute value of the relative deviation of the two test results meets the requirements of Table 1.
