Overall electro-acoustic frequency response for reproduction of magnetic stripe sound records on 70mm motion picture release prints-Reproduction characteristics
Basic Information
Standard ID:
GB/T 14000-1992
Standard Name:Overall electro-acoustic frequency response for reproduction of magnetic stripe sound records on 70mm motion picture release prints-Reproduction characteristics
This standard specifies the electro-acoustic frequency response characteristics of the full sound reproduction (or monitoring) system of the magnetic soundtrack of 70mm film coated magnetic copies. This standard applies to the main sound channel system of the mixing studio, standard projection room and indoor theater dedicated to movies, and also applies to the sound reproduction of the 35mm magnetic six-track in the 70mm film with sound and picture separated. Subject content and scope of application This standard specifies the electro-acoustic frequency response characteristics of the overall reproduction (or monitoring) system of magnetlc stripe sound records of 70 mm motion-picture release prints. This standard is applicable to the main channel system of the mixing studio dedicated to movies, standard projection room and indoor cinema, and also to the reproduction of 35 mm magnetic six-track sound in 70 mm films with separated sound and picture. 2 Terminology 2.1 Full sound reproduction system The entire electro-acoustic system used to restore the sound of a film to a sound field in a movie mixing studio, projection room, or indoor theater. It is usually divided into two parts: A-chain and B-chain. As shown in Figure 1,||tt| ... 2.4 Wide range magnetic sound track Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on December 17, 1992 and implemented on August 1, 1993: comGB/T14000-92 A magnetic sound track without pre-compensation compared with conventional magnetic sound track. It uses the "" curve specified in this standard as the B-ring characteristic, that is, it reproduces the sound without pre-compensation. This kind of soundtrack generally needs to be processed by noise reduction when recording and reproducing. 2.5 Pre-emphasis magnetic soundtrack Conventional film magnetic soundtrack, also known as pre-compensated magnetic soundtrack, uses the "n curve" specified in this standard as the 1 ring characteristic, and reproduces the sound under the condition of decompensation. 2.6 Electro-acoustic frequency response The frequency response characteristic expressed in decibels of the ratio of the sound pressure generated by the test signal in a given frequency range from the A ring to the B ring sound field at a specified point relative to the sound pressure at any reference frequency (usually 1kHz). 3 Electro-acoustic frequency response characteristics The frequency response characteristics of the A ring and B ring of the wide-band magnetic soundtrack are shown in Tables 1 and 2. 3.1 Frequency response Center frequency .- 2. 0 “x\ characteristic GB/T14000—92 Figure 2 Frequency response characteristics of A-ring and B-ring of wideband soundtrack12510 3.2 The characteristics of A-ring when the pre-compensated magnetic soundtrack is reproduced in a cinema with B-ring of “X\ characteristic” are shown in Table 2 and Figure 3 (attached with B-ring \X\ characteristic).
