1 Scope

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1
Sustainable non-sewered toilet
Sustainable non-sewered toilet An environmentally sustainable sanitary toilet that does not rely on water supply and drainage and external sewage treatment systems, can collect, transmit and treat human feces and urine on site, and whose treated emissions can meet discharge standards or be harmless, and whose harmless emissions can be easily recycled. 3.2
Sustainable non-sewered tourism toilet sustainablenon-sewered tourismtoilet A sustainable non-sewered toilet (3.1) installed in a tourist activity site and mainly serving tourists. 3.3
Toilet closet
A device installed in a sustainable non-sewered toilet (3.1) that can collect, transmit and treat human feces and urine, and the treated emissions can meet the emission standards or be harmless, and the harmless emissions can be easily recycled. 3.4
Toilet structure
A spatial structure that carries the toilet (3.3) and provides a shielding function for toilet users. It can generally be divided into fixed, movable and vehicle-mounted types.

4 General requirements
4.1 Hygiene
Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets and toilets should not pollute people's sense of smell and vision during use, and should not cause harm or risk to people's physical and mental health in any form. 4.2 Sustainability
4.2.1 In the process of collecting, transmitting, processing, discharging, and utilizing human feces and urine, the solids, liquids, gases, and noise output by sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets and toilets should not pollute the environment. 4.2.2 The water consumption per person of sustainable non-sewered toilets should be zero or much less than that of ordinary flush toilets. 4.2.3 The average discharge per person of sustainable non-sewered toilets should be much less than that of ordinary flush toilets. 4.2.4 The use, maintenance or standby process of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets and toilets should not cause excessive consumption of water, energy, consumables, manpower and other resources.
4.3 Safety
The installation, use, maintenance and removal of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets and toilets should not pose a threat to the safety of personnel. 4.4 Use environment
Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets and toilets should be able to adapt to various possible extreme climatic conditions at the location. 4.5 Processing capacity
The collection, transmission and processing capacity of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets and toilets should be able to meet the requirements of the maximum usage flow at the location.
4.6 Service life
The service life of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets and toilets should be no less than ten years. 4.7 Specifications

5 Site selection requirements
5.1 Natural risks
The establishment of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should avoid areas with high geological disaster risks. 5.2 Facility avoidance
5.2.1 Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should maintain a safe distance from power and gas facilities. Note: For specific requirements, please refer to GB50028.
5.2.2 Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should maintain a safe distance from underground optical cables and other communication lines. 5.2.3 The location of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should not hinder the maintenance and repair of permanent facilities. 5.3 Location and area

5.3.1 The location of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should comply with the provisions of 6.1.1.1 in GB/T18973-2016. 5.3.2 The area of ​​sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should meet the requirements of 6.1.1.2 of GB/T18973-2016. 6 Toilet requirements
6.1 Hygiene
6.1.1 The front end of the toilet should have the function of deodorizing, isolating or exhausting feces and urine. 6.1.2 The odor of the gas emitted by the toilet should not be inferior to the odor intensity level 2 in Table 1. 6.1.3 A visual barrier should be ensured at the front of the toilet to prevent the user from seeing the feces deposited by the previous user when looking directly at the front of the toilet from a vertical floor angle. If the barrier is formed by a water seal, the seal depth should not be less than 20mm. Note: This requirement refers to the visibility of the feces treatment process under normal use of the system, rather than the process and traces of feces transfer in the toilet bowl at the front of the toilet. During normal use, the feces of the previous user and its treatment process should not be visible at the front of the toilet. The noise of the toilet should not pose a risk of harm to people's physical or mental health. 6.1.4
: The operation performed by the user at the front of the toilet after each use should be simple, easy and hygienic. 6.1.6
After each use and disposal, the front of the toilet should be clean and odorless. The requirements for the user's toilet posture should be in accordance with customs and practices. The toilet should have the ability to handle other toilet waste. 6.1.8
For other toilet waste that cannot be handled, the front of the toilet should have corresponding blocking capabilities. 6.1.10
The front of the toilet should be easy to clean manually.
If the toilet is connected to the water supply system, an effective device should be installed to prevent backflow. Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets in closed spaces where air circulation is difficult (such as caves) should be installed to treat or control the odorous gases discharged.

The emissions after treatment by toilets should be able to meet the emission standards or be discharged harmlessly, and will not cause pollution to the environment. Note: The requirements for the sanitary indicators of insect eggs, bacteria, etc. can refer to the provisions of Table 1 to Table 4 of GB7959-2012. 6.2.2
The harmless discharge of toilets should be used as resources. 6.2.3
Sustainable non-sewered toilets should not consume water. The consumables, the amount of consumables, the physical and chemical indicators of the discharge and the final disposal methods of sustainable non-sewered toilets should be clearly defined. 6.2.4
Toilet consumables should not contain non-degradable substances. 6.2.5
If the toilet consumables are chemical or biological additives, their usage should not exceed the human health or environmental risk requirements. 6.2.7
The descaling agents and detergents used in sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should comply with the provisions of Class C products in GB/T26396-2011. Descaling agents and detergents used for metal sanitary ware should not have a corrosive effect on the corresponding metals. 6.3 Performance
Toilets should be able to meet the requirements of extremely large, extremely small and sudden changes in the flow of people. Toilets should have measures to prevent its moving or rotating parts from injuring people. There should be a way to stop the operation of the toilet in an emergency when the toilet fails. The toilet should be able to resume use automatically after a short power outage. The toilet should be able to meet normal use for more than 8 hours after a power outage. 6.3.6 It should be able to resume use within one day after a long power outage. 6.3.7
Toilets should be able to operate safely and reliably in an ambient temperature range of 5℃ to 50℃ without relying on additional heating or cooling. If the ambient temperature exceeds this temperature range, the toilet should have measures to operate safely and reliably in an extended temperature range, and the energy consumption caused by this measure should be controlled within a reasonable range.
6.3.8 Toilets should be able to operate safely and reliably in an ambient relative humidity range of 20% to 100%. 6.3.9 Toilets should be able to operate safely and reliably in the range of air pressure from sea level (101kPa) to 2500m above sea level (76kPa). 6.3.10 Toilets selected in high-cold and high-altitude areas should be able to operate safely and reliably at their corresponding altitudes. 6.4 Supporting facilities
The discharge container of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should be airtight, covered, and leak-proof to prevent groundwater pollution, and should comply with the relevant provisions of 6.4.1
GB/T17217.
6.4.2 If the discharge container of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets is placed underground, its distance from the water source should be no less than 30m. 6.4.3 If the discharge container of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets is placed externally or underground, its volume should be greater than 5m, or greater than the annual discharge volume of the toilet.
6.4.4 Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets that may produce flammable gases should be kept away from fire sources and have safety warnings. 6.4.5 Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets without electricity or unstable electricity supply should have corresponding solutions. Clean energy such as wind power and solar energy should be used for power supply without electricity. 4
7 Requirements for toilet bodies
7.1 General requirements
7.1.1 It should comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T18973-2016 for toilet bodies. LB/T071-2019
7.1.2 It is advisable to adapt to local conditions and use local building materials, labor, craftsmanship and architectural styles to build sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets. 7.1.3 According to the technical requirements of non-sewered toilets, sufficient equipment space and pipeline reserved channels should be reserved for them, and they should be easy to repair and maintain. 7.1.4 The total power supply of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should meet all power consumption requirements of toilet system, toilet insulation system, cleaning operation and living system, emergency power supply charging system, etc. 7.1.5 The direction of toilet door opening and the selection of door locks should be designed and implemented according to the technical characteristics of toilets, and the wiring trough should be designed and implemented accordingly.
An emergency help button can be set in the toilet, and an emergency help button should be set in the barrier-free toilet. Natural lighting can be used in places with good light. 7.1.8
Natural ventilation can be used in areas with moderate temperature. 7.1.9
Fireproof materials should be used for the main building materials and decorative materials. Note: For specific requirements, please refer to GB50016.
Fire extinguishers should be installed in sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets and placed in obvious and easy-to-access locations. Wiring and threading should be standardized. Safety facilities such as overcurrent protectors and leakage protectors should be installed at the main incoming line. 7.1.11

2 Lightning protection facilities should be installed in areas prone to thunderstorms. 7.1.13
If there is no water supply, the sustainable non-sewered tourist toilet cannot provide water for hand washing, and a hand-cleaning device should be installed. 4 The hand sanitizer used in the hand-cleaning device should ensure the disinfection effect, ensure the safety of human skin, and have a corresponding test report. 7.1.14
5 If there is no water supply, the sustainable non-sewered tourist toilet is difficult to provide cleaning water, a water storage tank should be installed to regularly replenish cleaning water. 7.1.15
It is advisable to replenish cleaning water by collecting rainwater and other convenient methods. 7.2 The design of fixed toilets should comply with the provisions of 3.0.11 of CJJ14-2016 and the relevant provisions of GB/T17217. 7.2.2 Adequate maintenance channels should be reserved for toilets without sewers according to their technical requirements. 7.2.3 Floor drains leading to discharge pipes should be provided in equipment spaces and maintenance channels. 7.3
Mobile toilets
The location of toilets should leave appropriate space for the maintenance and removal of toilets. The design of toilets should comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T18092 and CJ/T378. 7.3.2
Vehicle-mounted toilets
7.4.1 The selection of vehicles and space planning should facilitate the installation, maintenance and maintenance of toilets. 7.4.2 The modification and decoration of the vehicle body should not affect the safety and power performance of the vehicle. The installation of toilets should be resistant to vibration and bumps. 7.4.3
Toilets should be powered by safe voltage.
7.4.5 The power supply system of toilets should be relatively separated from the power supply system of the vehicle. 5

8 Management requirements
8.1 Cleaning and maintenance
The sanitation inside sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T17217. 8.1.2
The odor concentration inside sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets shall not be inferior to the odor intensity level 2 in Table 1. Cleaning operations of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should pay attention to water conservation. 8.1.3
8.1.4 When cleaning, sand, water or stains should be prevented from entering the toilet, especially the circuit part. 8.1.5 For toilets that are set to block other toilet waste from entering, the waste inside the toilet should be removed during cleaning. 8.1.6 The bacteria value at the front end of the toilet that contacts the human skin should not exceed the standard. 8.1.7
Cleaners should be able to master the working principle, working status, consumables replenishment, fault description and repair skills of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets.
Cleaners should promptly report and report the fault phenomenon when they find that the sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets are faulty. 8.1.8
8.1.9 When the sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets in cold areas are out of use or power outages in winter, cleaners should implement corresponding emergency measures to prevent the pipes from freezing and cracking.
8.1.10 A written record should be kept for each cleaning and repair. 8.1.11 For sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets that require consumables, a certain amount of inventory should be prepared for timely replacement or replenishment. 8.1.12
The time interval for replacing or replenishing consumables should be based on the product instructions or technical characteristics of the sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets. Cleaners should keep a written record of each replenishment or replacement of consumables for reference. If the consumption rate or use effect of consumables is abnormal, the maintenance personnel should be notified to solve the problem. 8.2 Maintenance
Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should be equipped with professionally trained and certified maintenance personnel, and ensure that maintenance accessories and consumables are sufficient.
Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should be actively inspected regularly to detect and eliminate faults in time. 8.2.3 During maintenance, reminder signs should be set up to minimize the impact on users of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets. 8.2.4 In cold areas, when sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets are out of power or out of use in winter, appropriate emergency measures should be taken to avoid freezing and cracking of sanitary ware equipment.
8.2.5 Written records should be kept for each inspection and maintenance operation. 8.3 Removal service
8.3.1 Sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should achieve standard discharge or harmlessness. Harmless emissions should be transported to designated places for disposal, and it is advisable to discharge them in places where resource utilization can be achieved. If there are no disposal conditions in the scenic area, it should be transported to a disposal site outside the scenic area. 8.3.2 The transportation method and process of harmless emissions from sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should ensure that there is no spillage, illegal dumping, or obvious odor, and the emitted gas should comply with the provisions of national mandatory standards. Note: For specific requirements, see the provisions of GB3095-2012 Class I area air pollutant limits. 8.3.3 Written records should be kept for each removal operation. 8.4 Management system
8.4.1 The management system of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T18973-2016. 8.4.2 The cleaning specifications, personnel training and assessment, repair inspection, consumables management, regular inspection, and emission removal of sustainable non-sewered tourist toilets should formulate corresponding system clauses, process links and document systems based on the characteristics of toilet technology. 8.4.3 Various daily management work records should be kept. It is advisable to regularly trace, count, analyze and improve the problems that have occurred in toilets6
