GB/T 4122.1 Fundamentals of packaging terms GB19433.1 General rules for safety regulations for inspection of dangerous goods packaging for air transport GB19434.1 General rules for safety regulations for inspection of intermediate bulk containers for dangerous goods 3 Terms and definitions GB/T 4122.1 and GB 19434.1 and the following terms and definitions shall apply to this standard. 3. Intermediate bulk containers (BCs) are also called intermediate bulk cargo containers. They refer to rigid or flexible transportable containers outside the scope specified in GB 19433.1. These containers: a) have the following capacities: not more than 3.0m3 for group II packaging and group II packaging solids and liquids; not more than 1.5m3 for group I packaging solids in flexible, rigid plastic, composite, fiberboard and wooden intermediate bulk containers; not more than 3.0m3 for group I packaging solids in metal bulk containers; b) designed for mechanical loading and unloading; able to withstand the stresses generated during loading and unloading and transportation, which are determined by tests. c)1 Flexible intermediate bulk containers, also known as flexible intermediate bulk boxes, refer to intermediate bulk containers that meet the definition of intermediate bulk containers in GB19434.1. They are composed of film, woven fiber, textile and other flexible materials and their combination. If necessary, they can be equipped with lining or inner coating, as well as auxiliary equipment and loading and unloading devices. There are several types of flexible intermediate bulk containers; a) 13H1 Woven plastic without coating or lining Woven plastic with coating b) 13H2 c) 13H3 d) 13H4 h) 1313 Woven plastic with lining Woven plastic with coating and lining Plastic film Textile without parent layer or lining Textile with coating Textile with lining Textile with coating and lining Multi-layer paper GB/T 21594--2008 k) 13M2 waterproof, multi-layer paper 4 Test equipment Crane or overhead crane, with a payload of not less than 3t. 5 Test procedure 5.1 Sample preparation 5.1.1 According to the design type, the intermediate rescue container used for transporting solids should be filled to not less than 95% of its capacity and the maximum allowable load, and the intermediate bulk container used for transporting liquids should be filled to not less than 98% of its capacity, and should be evenly distributed. 5.1.2 The pressure relief device should be determined to be in a non-working state, or the pressure relief device should be removed and its opening blocked. 5.1.3 The intended cargo of the intermediate bulk container can be replaced by other substances, but it shall not affect the test results. If it is a solid substance, when another substance is used as a substitute, the physical properties (mass, particle size, etc.) of the substitute substance should be the same as the substance to be transported. It is permitted to use additives such as bags of lead shot to achieve the specified total mass of the package, provided that the additives are placed in such a way that the test results are not affected. 5.1.4 Fiberboard intermediate bulk containers and composite intermediate bulk containers with fiberboard outer packaging shall be conditioned for at least 24 h under atmospheric conditions of controlled temperature and relative humidity. There are three options from which one can be selected. It is recommended that the best choice is an atmospheric condition of 23°C ± 2°C and 50% ± 2%. The other two options are 20°C ± 2°C and 65% ± 2% or 27°C ± 2°C and 65% ± 2%. Note: Although the measurement process allows for short-term fluctuations of 5% in individual relative measurements, the average value should be within the above limits and the fluctuations should have no effect on the re-testing of the test results. 5.1.5 The intermediate bulk container is laid flat on the ground with its side facing down. 5.2 Number of test specimens The number of test specimens is 3. 5.3 Test steps 5.3.1 Use a crane to hook one or two (if there are four) lifting devices of the flexible intermediate bulk container. 5.3.2 Lift the sample to an upright position and off the ground at a speed of 0.1m/s. 5.3.3 Observe whether the intermediate bulk container and its lifting device have any damage that may endanger its transportation and loading and unloading safety. 6 Test report Name, quantity, size, and specification of the test sample; name of the manufacturer; . Pretreatment temperature, relative humidity, and pretreatment time; - Test equipment; … - Record of test results, and any phenomena observed during the test that are helpful in explaining the test results; ... Explain the differences between the test method used and this standard; - Test date, signature of the tester, and seal of the testing unit. 2 ..comGB/T 21594-2008 People's Republic of China National Standard Dangerous Goods Reconstitution Test Method for Intermediate Bulk Containers GB/T 21594—2008 Published and distributed by China Standards Press No. 16, Sanlihebei Street, Fuxingmenwai, Beijingbzxz.net Postal Code: 100045 Website: www.spc.net.cn Tel: 6852394668517548 China Standards Press Printed in Qinhuangdao, Guangdong, China Distributed by Xinhua Bookstores in various places Print Sheet 0.5 Words 5,000 Words Format 880×1230 1/16 First printing of 6 copies in 2008 First edition in June 2008 Book number: 155066·1-31820 Price: 10.00 yuan If there is any printing error, the distribution center of our company will replace it.
