Chemical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China
Test method for rubber thread Determination of the meter value of rubber thread This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO23211983 "Rubber thread - Raw content and scope of application
This standard specifies the method for determining the meter value of rubber thread. HG/T 2412.1-92
- Test method" Part 5
This standard applies to rubber threads made of natural rubber and natural rubber latex, and also to rubber threads made of polyisoprene rubber 2 Definition
Meter value: The length of 1000g rubber thread without elongation is expressed in meters. 3 Storage of samples or specimens
Before the test, the sample or specimen should be kept in a relaxed state in the dark under standard temperature conditions for not less than 16 hours, and the test should be carried out under the same environment. The selected specimens should be clean, dry and free of appearance defects. During storage or testing, the samples or specimens are not allowed to come into contact with copper, chain or other harmful objects. 4 Instruments
Rubber wire cutters are available in the following two types: 411
Type A cutters consist of a horizontal flat rectangular metal base with one or more longitudinal grooves. The clamp is fixed a few centimeters from the end of the groove. A shearing device is provided at each end of the wire. The spacing of the shearing device should be 1001mm. The cross-section of the groove is an equal triangle with a bottom side not less than 2m, see Figure 1. Type B cutters consist of a rectangular vertical frame with two parallel metal plates with sharp inner edges at the upper and lower ends. There are two cutting Cutting device (whose fixed blade is the inner blade of the metal plate) and two external clamps. The clamps should be of spring-loaded type, and the spacing between the inner edges of the metal plate should be 1000±1mm, see Figure 2.
Approved by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China on October 22, 1992 and implemented on July 1, 1993

4.2 Analytical balance: sensitivity is 0.0001g, 5 Preparation of test samples
Take 5 straight rubber wire samples with a length of about 1050mm, Figure 2B type cutter

If the rubber wire is obtained from a spool or from other forms that put the rubber wire in a tension state, it needs to be heat treated in a constant overflow box at 70±2℃ for 30 minutes. After heat treatment, it should be placed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 3. 6 Test steps
6.1 The rubber wire can be cut to the specified size using any type of instrument. When using a type A cutter, place each rubber wire that has been placed in the center of the rubber wire cutter, and pay attention to avoid stretching. Clamp the rubber wire and cut it to the specified length with a shearing device; when using a type B cutter, hang each frame of rubber wire that has been placed on the clamp. When it is fixed in a vertical position, there should be no stretching effect. Fix it with the lower clamp, first use the lower cutting device, and then use the upper cutting device to cut the rubber wire to the specified length. 6.2 Slightly vibrate or shake to remove the release agent on the rubber wire that has been cut to a good length, and then weigh the plate to an accuracy of ±%. 6.3 Determine the mass of 5 samples as required. Result Expression
7.1 The meter value of rubber thread is expressed as the length of rubber thread per gram (meter) and is calculated as follows: 1000
Where: m—mass, the mass of 1000mm long rubber thread, g. 7.2 The median value of 5 samples is expressed as the meter value of rubber thread. Test Report
