Mechanical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China JB/T 6399-1992 Spring Steel for Heavy Machinery Published on July 14, 1992 Implementation by the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry of the People's Republic of China on July 1, 1993 Mechanical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China Spring Steel for Heavy Machinery 1 Subject Content and Scope of Application This standard specifies the technical requirements for ordering, manufacturing and acceptance of spring steel. This standard applies to purchased and self-made springs, elastic parts and spring steel with larger cross-sections. 2 Reference standards GB 222 Ordering requirements Sampling of samples for chemical analysis of steel and chemical tolerances of finished products Chemical analysis methods for steel and alloys Metal tensile test methods Metal Brinell hardness test methods JB/T 6399-1992 The purchaser shall provide the supplier with product drawings and indicate the delivery status, i.e., heat treatment or no heat treatment. If there are other technical requirements, they can be agreed upon by both parties. 4 Manufacturing Self-smelted or outsourced spring steel shall be smelted in electric furnaces or induction furnaces. 5 Technical requirements 5.1 Chemical composition 5.1.1 The steel grade and chemical composition (melting analysis) shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. 5.1.2 The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of steel shall comply with the provisions of GB222. 5.2 Mechanical properties 5.2.1 If the spring steel is heat treated, its mechanical properties shall comply with the provisions of Table 2, and the specimens shall be taken from the rough pieces heat treated in the same furnace. 5.2.2 The tensile properties in Table 2 are only applicable to steel types with spring cross-sectional dimensions not exceeding 80 mm. When the cross-sectional dimensions are greater than 80 mm, the elongation and cross-sectional shrinkage are allowed to be reduced by 1 unit and 5 units respectively. When the purchaser requires hardness, it shall comply with the provisions of Table 3, but tensile properties cannot be required at the same time. 5.2.3 When the purchaser requires other tempering temperature heat treatment, it shall be agreed upon by the supply and demand parties. 5.2.4 Approved by the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry on July 14, 1992 and implemented on July 1, 1993 60Si2Mn 60Si2MnA 60Si2CrA 60Si2CrVA 50CrVA 60Si2Mn 60Si2MnA 60Si2CrA 0.62~0.70 0.62 ~0.70 0.62~0.70 0.56-0.64 0.56~0.64 0.56~0.64 0.56~0.64 0.46~0.54 0.17-0.37 0.17~0 .37 0.17~0.37 1.60~2.00 1.40~1.80 1.40~1.80 0.17~0.37 JB/T6399-1992 Chemical composition of spring steel 0.50~0.80 0.90~1.20bzxz.net 0.60~0.90 0.40~0.70 0.50~0.80 Mechanical properties of spring steel Heat treatment specification Floating fire temperature 840 (Oil cooling) 830 (Oil cooling) 830 (Oil cooling) 870 (Oil cooling) 870 (Oil cooling) 870 (Oil cooling) 60Si2CrVA 50CrVA 850 (Oil cooling) 850 (Oil cooling) Tempering temperature Note: The allowable deviation of heat treatment temperature is quenching temperature ±20℃, Tempering temperature ±50℃. 60Si2Mn;60Si2MnA 50CrVA 60Si2CrA 60Si2CrVA (longitudinal) Hardness of spring steel Delivery state No heat treatment Heat treatment 0.70~1.00 0.80~1.10 Mechanical properties 0.10-0.20 0.10~0.20 5.3 Appearance and defect removal JB/T 6399-1992 5.3.1 The surface of spring steel shall not have cracks, folds, scars, inclusions, delamination and pressed iron oxide scale. 5.3.2 Local defects on the surface of spring steel must be removed. The removal depth shall not affect the minimum allowable size of the spring section. The width of the removal shall not be greater than 5 times the removal depth. 5.4 When the purchaser has special requirements, such as non-metallic inclusions, microstructure, grain size, decarburization layer depth, low magnification, etc., it shall be agreed upon by both parties. 6 Test methods and acceptance 6.1 Test methods Chemical composition shall be implemented in accordance with GB223; hardness shall be implemented in accordance with GB231: mechanical properties shall be implemented in accordance with GB228. 6.2 Acceptance The inspection and acceptance of spring steel shall be carried out by the supplier in accordance with this standard and the requirements of the order contract.
