Open a nitrogen filling hole in the cover of the packaging drum, install a vent nozzle, fill the drum with nitrogen, keep the pressure at the inlet at 20kPa, and apply soap solution on the sealing part of the packaging drum to observe whether there is leakage. 5.3.7 Identify whether the acetylene content in the package meets the requirements of 5.1.10. 5.3.7.1 Identification equipment: acetylene meter. 5.3.7.2 Identification steps: Use an acetylene meter calibrated with standard acetylene gas, open the nitrogen filling hole, and insert the exhaust pipe of the instrument from the nitrogen filling hole into the package for determination.
5.4 Identification rules
5.4.1 Enterprises using calcium carbide packaging steel drums should ensure that the calcium carbide packaging steel drums they use meet the provisions of this standard and be identified by the relevant inspection department in accordance with this standard. Users of calcium carbide packaging have the right to request acceptance and identification of the received packaging in accordance with the provisions of this standard. 5.4.2 Identification items: Identify item by item in accordance with the requirements of 5.1 and 5.2. 5.4.3 Calcium carbide packaging should be identified in batches based on the order quantity, with the maximum order quantity not exceeding 5,000 pieces, and batch by batch. 5.4.4 Judgment rules:
Identify item by item according to the requirements of the standard. If one package fails in each item, the item is judged to be unqualified. If one item fails, the batch of packages is assessed to be unqualified.
5.4.5 Unqualified batch processing:
Unqualified calcium carbide packages in the unqualified batch are eliminated and submitted for identification again, and the strictness remains unchanged. 5

Ammonia filling method for calcium carbide packaging
Use three valves to connect the packaging, vacuum pump and nitrogen filling pipe. First, close the nitrogen filling pipe, open the vacuum pump to extract the gas in the packaging, then close the vacuum pump, open the nitrogen filling pipe to fill nitrogen until positive pressure is generated in the packaging. A.2
Positive pressure nitrogen filling method
When filling calcium carbide, insert a nitrogen filling tube into the bottom of the package, start filling with nitrogen, remove the mixed gas in the package from the bottom, then close the opening, and then fill with nitrogen from the nitrogen filling hole on the top cover. 6
