GB/T 15120.3-1994 Identification card recording technology Part 3: Position of embossed characters on ID-1 cards
Basic Information
Standard ID:
GB/T 15120.3-1994
Standard Name: Identification card recording technology Part 3: Position of embossed characters on ID-1 cards
This standard specifies the location of printed characters on ID-1 type identification cards. The nominal dimensions of ID-1 type identification cards are specified in GB/T 14916. Printed characters are used for data transmission using an embossing machine or by visual or machine reading. National Standard of the People's Republic of China Identification cards Recording technique Part 3: Location of embossed characters on ID-1 cardsCB/T 15120.3--94 ISO 7811/3-1985 This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO) 7811/3--1985 "Identification cards recording technique Part 3: Location of embossed characters on ID-1 cards". 0 Introduction This standard is one of a series of standards that describe the parameters of the identification cards defined in Chapter 3 below and the identification cards used in international exchange...1 Subject content and scope of application This standard specifies the location of embossed characters on ID-1 identification cards. The nominal dimensions of ID-1 identification cards are specified in GB/T14916. Embossed characters are used for data transmission by using an embossing machine or by visual or machine reading. 2. Reference standards GB/T14916 Physical characteristics of identification cards GB/T15120.1 Identification card recording technology Part 1: Embossed 3 TerminologybZxz.net The terms "identification card" given in GB/T14916 and the following terms apply to this standard. Identification number identification number identifies the cardholder's number. 4 Designated areas The two areas on the designated card for embossing are shown in Figure 1. Area 1: The area reserved for the number of the issuer and the cardholder of the identification card is called the "identification number line". The characters and their imprint in this area can be read by humans and can be used for machine optical character recognition ()CR) Area 2: The area for identification data provided to the cardholder, such as name, address and other data that may be required, is called the "name and address area". The data contained in this area of the card or the data imprinted on the card is usually only visible to humans. Read. 5 Identification number line Identification number line - line of characters of the type specified in GB/T 15120.1, which consists of a maximum of 19 character positions with a nominal spacing of 7 characters/25.1 mm. The number of usable (embossed) character positions will depend on the application requirements. Note: When designing a new system, it is recommended to provide maximum flexibility for use, namely: Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on July 16, 1994 28 Implementation on March 1, 1995 : Align the embossed identification number to the left; GB/T 15120.3 --94 b. The maximum length of the identification number is allowed; C: If the character position is available, it is recommended to insert a space between the issuer identifier and the personal account identifier of the identification number If these provisions are not taken into account, it is necessary to coordinate certain restrictions before the card is exchanged, and then data can be effectively exchanged in different systems. The position slip specification (see Figure 1) is as follows: The distance between the center line of the identification number line and the bottom edge of the card A: 21.42±0.12mm; b. The distance between the center line of the first character position and the left edge of the card B: 10.18±0.25mm; The maximum cumulative tolerance between the center line of the first and last characters in the line ( C tolerance): ±0.08mm. 6 Name and address area The name and address area shall be 4 lines of characters of the type specified in G1315120.1, with 27 characters per line and a nominal spacing of 10 characters/25.4mm. Any information embossed in the name and address area shall preferably be located as far away from the identification number as possible (see Figure 1). Note: Those issuers requiring embossed 4 lines of name and address should be aware that the (CR clear area) is required by certain types of OCR reading equipment and the embossed files produced on their cards may not be acceptable in an exchange environment. The position specifications (see figure) are as follows: Figure 1 Print positioning Maximum height D of the name and address area: 14.53mm: Note: This height is based on the printed surface and does not include tolerance. Bottom margin E between name and address area and edge of card: minimum 2.41mm, maximum 3.30mm; b. Note: When this area is used in conjunction with a magnetic stripe, the minimum margin should be 2.54mm, see GB/T14916. c Distance F between the center line of the first character position in each line and the left edge of the card: 7.65±0.25mm; Note: The first character in the name and address area does not need to be aligned to the left. Therefore, the use of 27 character positions is based on the distance of 7.65nmm to the edge of the card as mentioned above. Maximum cumulative tolerance (G tolerance) between the center lines of the first and last characters in each line: ±0.08mm. 29 Additional notes: GB/T15120.3 This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Electronic Standardization Institute of the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry. 94 This standard was drafted by the Electronic Standardization Institute of the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry and the Financial Technology Department of the People's Bank of China. The main drafters of this standard are Shao Jian, Huang Jiaying, Wang Yunsheng, Liu Zhong, and Nie Shu. From the implementation date of this standard, the former Ministry of Electronics Industry of the People's Republic of China standard SJ/Z9026.3-87 "Identification Cards-Recording Technology-Part 3: Positioning of Embossed Characters on ID-1 Cards" will be abolished. 30 Tip: This standard content only shows part of the intercepted content of the complete standard.
