Determination of the bulk density of coal in a small container There is no standard at home and abroad at present. This standard is equivalent to ISO567:1974 "Determination of the bulk density of coke in a small container".
This standard specifies the instrumentation, test steps, result calculation and expression methods for the determination of the bulk density of coal in a small container. Its purpose is to unify and standardize the determination method of the bulk density of coal, which is conducive to the design of coal storage and transportation and coal processing and conversion technology. This standard is formulated for the first time. This standard is proposed by the Science and Technology Education Department of the Ministry of Coal Industry. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Coal Standardization Technical Committee. The drafting unit of this standard is the Xi'an Branch of the China Coal Research Institute. The main drafters of this standard are Zhang Cairong and Zhang Hui. This standard is interpreted by the Xi'an Branch of the China Coal Research Institute. 1 Scope

This standard specifies the determination method of the bulk density of coal in a small container. This standard is applicable to lignite, bituminous coal and anthracite with a particle size of less than 150mm. 2 Referenced Standards

Carefully put the coal sample into a container of known mass and volume, weigh it, and calculate the bulk density. 4 Equipment
4.1 Container: A cubic container with a volume of 200L (0.200m3) and an inner side length of 585mm. The structure is solid and the inner surface is smooth. 4.2 Scale: The maximum range is 500kg, and the weighing accuracy is greater than or equal to 0.1%. 5 Coal sample
The coal sample should be representative and have sufficient quantity to ensure repeated measurements. 6 Determination steps
Weigh the container (4.1) with a platform scale (4.2) to the nearest 0.5kg: Carefully place the coal sample in the container with a shovel. The coal sample should fall as low as possible and should not exceed 0.6m at most. The coal sample should be placed about 100mm above the top of the container. Remove the coal sample that is above the container with a hard straight plate so that the surface of the coal sample is flush with the top of the container. Weigh the container containing the coal sample. Repeat the above steps with another part of the coal sample. Take commercial coal samples according to GB475 and determine the total moisture according to GB/T211. 7 Calculation and expression of results
