Appendix A
(Appendix to the standard)
Description of the design of the flag of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China The regional flag of the Macao Special Administrative Region is a green flag with five stars, lotus, bridge, and sea water patterns. (Quoted from Article 10 of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China) The regional flag of the Macao Special Administrative Region is a green flag with five stars, linked flowers, bridge, and sea water patterns in the middle. Macao is an inseparable part of the motherland. The five stars symbolize the unity of the country. The lotus is deeply loved by the residents of Macao. It is about to bloom under the shining of the five stars, implying that Macao will prosper in the future. The three petals of the connected flower represent the three islands that make up Macao. The bridge and the sea reflect the characteristics of Macao's natural environment. Explanation of the flag of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China
(Quoted from Annex 1 of the "Interim Measures for the Use of the Flag and Emblem of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China") The shape and color of the flag are the same on both sides. The five stars, lotus, bridge and sea water patterns on the flag are opposite to each other on both sides. For convenience, this document only uses the side with the flagpole on the left. The flag stalls are explained. For the flagpole on the right side, they should be made accordingly. 1. The flag is green and rectangular, with a ratio of three to two in length and height. A white lotus composed of three petals is painted in the middle of the flag. There are golden five-pointed stars above the lotus - one large and four small, with two small five-pointed stars on each side of the large five-pointed star in the middle. Below the lotus is a white bridge and green and white seawater that gradually changes from near to far. The regional flag pattern is shown in Figure B1. Figure B1 The flag pattern of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China The general sizes of the regional flag are set as follows: 1 No. 2: 288 cm long and 192 cm high.
